She is certainly an impressive young woman. Given the educational qualifications of both her parents, they clearly value higher education.

She attended the Yale Young Global Scholars Program at Yale University last year, so that may be an indication of her future path. I understand the military academy is 3 years, and she has just completed the first.

Lil gave a short interview:

Quote
"I've become used to getting up so early," Elisabeth smiles during a short statement. “I had to adapt a lot here, but I really enjoyed it. I have met fantastic people, gained many new experiences. So thank you. I hope to see you again on July 21."

On the 21st, she will take part in the military parade

She does look like she’s having fun.

Does anyone else think that the colors in that camouflage are fairly bright?  Maybe it’s the photo….

It's the Belgian "Jigsaw" camouflage pattern:

I suspect she'd look less conspicuous if her face and hands were covered.  Secret

Of the many genius things about Elisabeth spending this year in military training (service, learning how the military works, good PR, continuing the family tradition) is that it's given her a year where she's not in the public eye full time and isn't having to worry about hair, make up and fashion.

I'm really keen to see what she does next!

I hope when the time comes that her siblings are all equally well educated and prepared for the world they will inhabit.

You also feel that Til, Phil and Lil have put a lot of thought into this, that it's been properly planned.

I would expect University next, it's a question of whether she goes abroad. In non Covid times, Harvard or Yale would have been my guess. Perhaps she'll go domestic...

When do you think Princess Elisabeth will be given her first tiara? Which tiara will it be?

I think the Wolfers tiara would be a lovely choice for Elisabeth. It's small and delicate, and can be worn as a necklace or a tiara. Belgium does not have many tiaras so I can see Mathilde keeping the Nine Provinces and the Laurel Wreath for her own use.

My second choice would be the Queen Elisabeth Diamond Bandeau which Mathilde wore on her wedding day:

These would be perfect choices for her tiara introduction.  I think the Nine Provinces (swoon!) and the Laurel Wreath (double swoon!!!!) should be reserved for the monarch/consort.  It seems like it would be out of character for the family to buy her a "new" one, but I may be wrong?
