Beautiful tiara, both imposing and delicate, and interesting to read of its potential provenance. Thank you for that IG link, Elissa.

My pleasure  Smiley

More info tonight from royal reporter Wim Dehandschutter : the tiara is a gift from her parents for her 18th birthday in 2019. Not a loan  Supercontent

Amazing news! I'm still holding out hope the necklace she got on her own 18th birthday can also be worn as a tiara as well, even if it is a small one.

Very nice tiara for Elizabeth and thanks for the link to the history behind it.  Love the provenance and glad she has it and not a new piece.  She seems like she’d appreciate this piece’s story.

Elisabeth's tiara can be considered a new piece because it is the first to be considered a Belgian royal tiara. I agree that in age it is an older tiara.

On June 30,  Elisabeth will inaugurate a 3D printing laboratory at the Catholic University of Louvain. The part of the hospital has been named the "Princess Elisabeth Additive Manufacturing Lab".

Is that her official solo event?

🚨 IMPORTANT DAY FOR PRINCESS ELISABETH

🇧🇪 The heir to the Belgian throne, 20, undertakes her first solo royal engagement, without being accompanied by her parents King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.

⛴️ She christened the research vessel Belgica in Ghent.

Links to video clips. It’s raining, bless her. She looks beautiful though. Love the dress!

Nice work, Nice Princess Lil! She looks freezing and a tiny bit nervous, but this is a huge first for her and she handled herself well.

She is doing very well and looks great.  What a breeze of fresh air after the posing painted Dutch princesses.  All the Orange wealth cannot buy Elisabeth's poise,  natural charm and dignity.

I agree.  The King and Queen should be very proud - they’ve done a great job of raising smart, responsible kids without a lot of fuss and hoopla.  She’s got a nice natural presence and grace to her.  We’ll done on your first solo, Princess!

RoyalFashionPolice always does "hit or miss" polls, and Elisabeth is now old enough to be the subject of one - the account leaves royal children alone other than just posting details about their outfits.  It makes me feel a little maternal to Elisabeth that she is now old enough to be given a poll like the adult royals!

I think she looks lovely and  Secret I almost feel like she's cosplaying Kate Middleton a bit  Secret  I don't think Kate is the be-all and end-all standard for royal ladies by any means.  But this outfit, pretty and feminine and appropriate as it is, doesn't feel like Elisabeth.  It feels like someone's idea of what royal women should wear.  Does that make sense to anyone?  NOT a criticism of Elisabeth...she's a doll and I am firmly a fan of hers and am eager to see how she grows and serves.

Oh she looks great I think, perhaps the hat wasn't completely necessary but it's small and that & the clutch, a nice pop of color against the white dress.

I do like Princess Elisabeth's hat. A hat for a future Queen adds dignity.
