Really well - I’ve never studied anyone with so much self control. After King George died, she still kept dressing the way he preferred (in fashions from the 1910’s) instead of more modern dresses that didn’t require corsets.

Oh Cyril do read it!  One of my favorite royal bios.  And "The Seach For Queen Mary" which is a compilation of James P-H's notes & diary entries while interviewing his subject's friends & relations is also good.

A new St. Edward's Crown was made for Charles II in 1661 after the Restoration.     
After the coronation of William III in 1689, the crown was put aside in favor of a lighter crown.     
George V revived the tradition and chose to wear St. Edward's Crown for his coronation.
