I am surprised that Mary chose this outfit, I have seen very well dressed ladies in their 70s wearing this outfit.

Aside from her unfortunate face a short sleeve jacket is a really weird look not very attractive. Kind of makes her look like a small town lady on dress up day kind of provincial. Aren't these future princesses whisked off to Paris or some local atelier to meet with designers once they get the ring? I mean you don't have to be a fashion superstar probably better if you aren't but don't they have to show girls like Mary how to be more polished? Or do they just set them free and hope for the best it seems Denmark did this.

Only in the spring. This outfit screams: Granny is here, let's go on the easter egg hunt

Awww!   I think you girls are being meanies.  Grin  IMO that outfit looks fine.  I wish I was slender enough to get away with wearing cream trousers and a sleek cream jumper.  That short sleeved jacket thingy adds some nice colour.   Icecream

Is this woman seriously trying to do a duckface?  Ranting Ranting

This is the face she has finally earned.

In this case, it's generally referred to as 'chicken rear'.

I pretty much only come on to this site now to be a meanie so you are right about that. Some of these people are ridiculous but then there are sweethearts like Mathilde and Stephanie and it all changes remember when we thought MT was great and Stephanie was horrible lol.

I just don't get that short sleeve jacket-ey thingy...

I mean it has sleeves to be a vest...its sleeves are too short to be warm...it is neither practical, useful or attractive.  Confused

it looks fugly to me

I don't mind the combo, I think it looks quite nice.
But even if we have had a rather mild and even sunny November so far (and we are miles away from the 70s - rather in the 60s) the colour combo looks very spring. I like white and cream, and were the coaty in soft autumnal colours like a mossy green and a soft rust it could have worked but this is easter egg coloured.
