Well I wonder if we are going to see more of Mary in glasses? There are so many stylish frames now and she is at the age where she probably needs bifocals.
Finding new glasses / frames has long been a drama for me. Especially finding ones that suit and flatter my features. Even as there is so much choice with regard to frames.
I have mainly worn (soft contact)lenses from my early 20s on (the moment I discovered I needed glasses or lenses). For the sake of convenience, I had a period I wore glasses a bit more often. But this was also because of the costs & I finally found a flattering and nice frame. For years I kept an eye in optician shops for flattering frames, but practically everything was too big for me, hadn't the right form or didn't fit. This year, due to eye issues and my old glasses no longer correct, I had to look for new glasses. Don't know how I managed it, but I decided and ordered glasses within 1 hour at my regular optician. Originally a childrens frame. Unfortunately after wearing it for a short while, it was discovered the fit wasn't right for me (irritation and such on my nose). Lucky enough, there was the option of the same frame a few millimeters bigger and in other colors. I wasn't that happy about other colors, but I got used to the new colors and also others remarked these colors also suited me.
