I think she thinks it gives her an sporty image, many British upper class people love horses, hunting and riding - so that might give her an idea that it is a past-time for a crown princess and it gets Frodo out of bed. Why she can't take the classes in private or feels the urge to compete ... that is just her. She needs that to feel good.

I've no problems with royals competing in sports, but they should do it against their own ages and not teenage girls.

Wouldn't it be nice to see her compete against Zara Philips in the future. In front of Denmark, UK and Australia media

Man the looks on both of the girls faces says it all there not impressed with princess pretencious at all both ladies probably want to smack the smug smile of her face and dump that bag of horse feed ontop of her head.  WTF was mary thinking competing against teenagers how imbrassing not only for the danish royal family but for denmark as a whole country, she a trainwreck of an indiviual who is making the danish royal family look like a laughing stock to the rest of europe and the rest of the world with her pretend  horseriding abllities.  I think the other royal houses are well advised to stay away from her and her loser husband unless they want to put there royal houses reputations in disrepute and have nothing to do with either of these parasites.

I think shes trying to copy the hairstyle of her British colleague. It didnt work for her and it's not working for Mares. Layers and a bit of shaping around the face would do wonders for Mary.

I honestly dont think I've ever seen Mary's hair so unstyled for so long. Is there a rationing of hairdressers in Denmark? Or are less and less hairdressers willing to cut her hair?

Her hair has been styled as she wants, that's copying Kate. It has nothing to do with lacking the help.

Is there not at least one amateur riding and/or dressage society in Denmark Mosh can join where adult members have informal competitions or skill improvement tests and other activities?

Answering here, LF and Peri and Miss Marple. Early on the boards, there was an interview with someone in Australia at a horse riding place who came right out and said Mary was pretentious. This must have been during the Freddles courtship or during wedding preparations. It was hilarious. She was obviously trying not to snicker or roll her eyes. Harley, do you have that video clip? It goes right along with this horse section.
