July 21Marie & Joachim gave interview in Luzech, a small town near the Chateau de Cayx.
SE og HØR met them for an interview in the small town of Luzech, close to the wine castle, Cayx.
Here Joachim spoke honestly about the fact that he so much needed to spend summer holidays in the quiet surroundings of the Queen's beautiful wine castle. In September, the prince will start as defense attaché at the Danish embassy in Paris. And he has just completed an extremely demanding study at the Ecole Militaire in France.
In other words: Joachim was exhausted after an incredibly hard year.
- "It will be challenging, but I look forward to it. So I think the holiday is much needed. For all of us."
, Joachim said.
To that extent, Joachim seemed to enjoy his time and vacation on the Cayx. Almost every morning he went hand in hand with Princess Marie down to the bakery to pick up breakfast for the family around 10 o'clock in the morning.
Joachim and Marie shone and looked like a newly in love couple, even though they have just had their 12th wedding anniversary.
The children, Nikolai, 20, Felix, 18, Henrik, 11 and Athena, 8, are also in Cayx - preparing for Felix's birthday, and even Countess Alexandra came to visit.
All in all, the family enjoyed the time away from the spotlight in the southern French region, Occitanie.
