Interesting. IIRC, Christian was the first Danish royal (excluding his mother) to attend a public school. That should constitute progress.

Hmm, not really, we knew that all along! Progress, I don't know wither, there still are students in public and private schools that cannot point out India on a map of Africa, it's reall a disgrace.

Cancellation of the 2021 New Year's Galas
Daisy has decided to cancel the New Year's galas for the government, the President of the Folketing, Danish officials and the Court on January 1, 2021, due to the continued spread of COVID-19 in Denmark.

The following New Years Sessions for the Supreme Court, Royal Life Guards and Gardehus Regiment Corps of Service Officers, Diplomatic Corps, Armed Forces and Danish Emergency Management Agency, I., II. and III. the grade class as well as the representatives of the main national organizations and royal patronages, which should have taken place on January 4 and 5, 2021, are also canceled.

During the Queen's reign, the traditional New Year's celebration at the Royal House has only been canceled once before. This happened in 2005 following the tsunami in Southeast Asia at Christmas 2004.

Instead, a small New Years party will be held at Christiansborg Palace on January 4, 2021 for the Prime Minister and a few other official representatives of Denmark.

That seems sensible.  I think a lot of holiday traditions will be altered this year.

Dear fellow fishers,
there was a German documentary on TV last night; for those who like some sugar and understand German (Especially when Fred talks about his loving relationship to his wife, his companion Dead...), you can watch it here:
https://www.ndr.de/fernse...uroes,sendung1019324.html

Or maybe it's better if you don't understand what they're saying - then it's bearable  It's amazing that the director of the documentary found the only pictures/scenes of Fred touching Mosh  Laugh bounce
