When rewatching parts of the wedding of WA and Max, I stumbled upon 'Ave Maria' sang during the church ceremony. According to commentators this was one of the requests of Max, as it was apparentely standard at Argentinian weddings. Well I have heard it a regular, common Dutch weddings also. Even in one the Ave Maria was song by the bride herself (she was a trained singer and is a speech therapist by occupation). I thought it was also something typical Catholic, but I have seen it at some other faith weddings too.

Made me curios if it was played at other royal weddings too, and I wasn't dissapointed.

I know that princess Christina of the Netherlands has song Ave Maria at the wedding of one of her nephews (son of her elder sister princess Margriet) But I wasn't able to find material of it yet.

I have attended a local wedding where after the bride and groom exchanged vows, the mother of the bride went up to the choir loft and sang Ave Maria. It was magnificent to hear her beautiful voice.
