A small addition, I have once heard from a US women living in the Netherlands.
In Dutch you have the word 'notities' (singular notitie). It means 'notes'.
But the women almost often read it as 'no titties'.
A similar experience she had with the Dutch word for a kind of carrot: 'peen'. There are even several ones, a.o. 'winterpeen' and 'waspeen'. According to the lady, where she came from peen is slang for the male genitalia. So she has a sort of puberal laughing fit when encountering the displays with peen at grocery store(s) or greengrocer(s)
