The picture of the father with multipe daughters and 2 sons reminded me of Otto of Habsburg.

He and his wife  Princess Regina of Saxe-Meiningen had 7 children. First 5 daughters which were followed up by 2 sons
Andrea von Habsburg (born 30 May 1953); Monika von Habsburg (born 13 September 1954) (twin of Michaela); Michaela von Habsburg (born 13 September 1954)(twin of Monika); Walburga von Habsburg (born 5 October 1958); Karl von Habsburg (born 11 January 1961) & Georg von Habsburg (born 16 December 1964)

And what to think of Prince Gustaf Adolf and Princess Sibylla of Sweden: 4 daughters and the finally (shortly before GA's death) a son. Made me wonder if more children were to follow if GA didn't die in a plane crash.

Same with the Spencers: First son, John, died and three girls. The pressure on these women (and men) must have been immense. And it still happens today, see what happened in Japan.

Years ago a friend introduced me to the fun Aussie act Umbilical brothers. I loved it and still (re)watch parts, among others the following ones:

Thanks Little Thunder. Three cheers for BenBen and the family that rescued him.

I was reminded of what our then Vet said when we brought in a kitten hit by a car. She had a broken pelvis and jaw, and his assistant. - fresh out of vet school - said she'd never walk and would have to have her leg amputated and  wanted to put her to sleep. The King of the Britons asked, can she live? The assistant nodded and TKotB said, then give her a chance.

Well, her one back leg moved in a round about manner and her tail had an odd angle but she lived a long and healthy cat life.

I'll never forget when we brought her back for her first check up. We put her down to show our vet she could walk. He got such a grin on his face, tucked her under his arm and went into the next room to show his assistant. He then uttered what I know to be a truism - Never count out the cats. They have a tremendous will to live if given the chance.

Oh dear, I hope it's OK to post these with the forum's rules. Tell if it's not. Some are quite painful to watch in some ways.  Sweating Ouch.  Secret

Have you guys been following the story of the American tourist who jumped into a hot spring in Yellowstone to save her pup?  I think we can all understand that visceral love for a pet that would compel you to do something like that.

That horse in the AT-AT costume is hilarious!! Laughing
