I was really bored with everything except the Charles/Camilla/Anne stuff. Anne was exceptional.

Good call to end it after season 5. Never over stay your welcome. I think 4-5 should be more interesting than 3 (which I still havenít finished  Snore).

I haven't finished season 3 either. Just can't get into the stories or Olivia Coleman as HM. 4 and 5 will probably have more drama at least!

Also, when I see Imelda Staunton, I see Dolores Umbridge - it'll be an interesting to see her take on the role!

Right now a certain someone who was  no doubt planning on lobbying for Ďherí part in season seven must be really less than ok.

Ive finnished but not warmed to the new cast. Olivia is great actress but i dont feel she is great match for this role. Also she is very tall it seems, she is taller than almost all of her PMs 😬 Also it seems to have been a quiet time in her reign with not much happening, i guess it will be more action when Diana and Fergie entres.

It makes sense to end ut in season 5 but I hope that the whole production team have realised how dull 3rd season was and that they need to orchestrate it way better.

Nor I. I am afraid I do not have HM's fortitude to wade through seasons of a miscast  Olivia Coleman playing her, however brilliant Olivia may be otherwise. It's just stodgy porridge.

I finally finished season 3 and the end was ok. QEII seemed more like a bit player than the main storyline which kind of makes sense considering where she was at in her life at the time. I did enjoy the storylines Charles and Anne. Iím very excited for season 4. This one is going to be juicy now that we have Camilla and Diana on the scene. It seems like the casting people stepped up their game with the actors who play Charles, Anne, Camilla and Diana. Have they cast Fergie and Andrew yet? I havenít seen anything about them in season 4.

If I remember right, the show was always supposed to end around 2001, go as far as the queen mum's death, but no further than that.

One of the reasons was that it is easier to work with hindsight and the past, than current issues.

Olivia Coleman as Liz was totally off, but I think Tobias as Phil, HBC as Margaret, the Anne and Charles actors were all really good. Otherwise it was mostly boring.

I feel the same way.  I loved Claire Foy and Matt Smith on Season 1 & 2.  I can't get past Olivia Coleman as HM, though I really like her in Broadchurch.  And Tobias Menzies, all I can see is Black Jack Randall in Outlander.
