Also a call on the site:

Call: (Huis) Doorn and the Second World War

As part of the celebration of 75 years of freedom, Museum Huis Doorn is researching the former imperial family in the run-up to and during the Second World War. In addition to the family, the research also focuses on life on the estate and in the village of Doorn in the 1940s - 1945s. The research forms the basis for a publication and an exhibition.

People who have information about Huis Doorn or the village of Doorn during the Second World War are requested to contact the museum: info@huisdoorn.nl

Museum Huis Doorn is the former exile of the German ex-emperor Wilhelm II and a place of remembrance for the First World War in the Netherlands. But World War II is also important for the history of the museum. Wilhelm II dies in 1941, when the Netherlands is occupied by Nazi Germany. In 1945, the estate was confiscated as enemy property by the Dutch State. Two world wars come together here.
