Princess Raiyah bint Hussein (Arabic: راية بنت الحسين‎)( born 9 February 1986) is the youngest daughter of King Hussein of Jordan and Queen Noor. On 5 November 2019, the court announced Princess Raiyah's engagement to British-born journalist Ned Donovan, son of the writer Tessa Dahl and Patrick Donovan, and a maternal grandson of Roald Dahl and Patricia Neal, while his paternal grandparents are Francis Patrick Donovan and Maria Kozslik. The pair married on 7 July 2020 in the United Kingdom with the permission of King Abdullah II, after their planned wedding in Jordan was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prince Muhammad bin Talal (born 2 October 1940) is the second son of King Talal of Jordan and was the younger brother of King Hussein of Jordan. Prince Muhammad first married Firyal Irshaid in 1964. They had two sons: Prince Talal (born 26 July 1965) and Prince Ghazi (born 15 October 1966). Their marriage ended in divorce in 1978. He later married Taghrid Majali, daughter of the late Hazza' al-Majali, Prime Minister of Jordan, on 28 June 1981 Prince Muhammad and Princess Taghrid along with their daughter, Samiha Al Fayez, reside now in Al Manal Palace. He also practices and promotes various sports including karate, chess, shooting and hunting.


Prince Hassan bin Talal (Arabic: الحسن بن طلال)(born 20 March 1947) is a member of the Jordanian royal family who was previously Crown Prince from 1965 to 1999, being removed just three weeks before King Hussein's death. In 1968, Prince El Hassan married Sarvath Ikramullah, daughter of the politician and diplomat Mohammed Ikramullah, and female politician, diplomat and Urdu author, Begum Shaista Suhrawardy Ikramullah. Both her parents, from prominent Bengali families, were born in then British India. They have have four children together: Princess Rahma (born 13 August 1969); Princess Sumaya (born 14 May 1971); Princess Badiya (born 28 March 1974);

Princess Basma bint Talal (born 11 May 1952) is the only daughter of King Talal and Queen Zein, sister of King Hussein and paternal aunt to the current king, King Abdullah II. Basma first married Colonel Timoor Daghistani in Amman on 2 April 1970. They had two children. In the late 1970s they were divorced. Basma went on to marry Walid al-Kurdi in Amman on 14 April 1980, and they also had two children.

Princess Rahma bint Hassan (born 13 August 1969) is a Jordanian princess. Her father is Prince Hassan bin Talal and her mother is Princess Sarvath El Hassan. In July 1997, she married Alaa Batayneh, the son of Arif Al Batayneh, one of Jordan's Best and most respected doctors. They have 2 children Aysha Al Batayneh (born 2002) and Arif Al Batayneh (born 2006)


Sumaya bint Hassan (born 14 May 1971)  is the second daughter of Their Royal Highnesses Prince El Hassan bin Talal and Princess Sarvath El Hassan. In August 1992, HRH was married to HE Minister Nasser Judeh, Jordan’s former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs. Judeh was born in Amman in 1961 and is the son of Sami Judeh, a former Jordanian government minister, and Lamia Safir Al Rifai. Princess Sumaya and Mr Judeh have four children: twins, a boy, Tariq and a girl, Zein El Sharaf, born in 1994; a son, Ali, born in 1996; and a daughter, Sukayna, born in 1998.

Princess Badiya bint Hassan (born 28 March 1974) is a Jordanian princess. She is the daughter of Prince Hassan bin Talal and Princess Sarvath al-Hassan. Princess Badiya became engaged to Khaled Edward Blair in September 2004 and married him in Amman in June 2005. The have 1 son, Ali.

Princess Badiya attended Christ Church at Oxford, and then got a law diploma from The College of Law in London (where she met her future husband). She qualified as a barrister in 1998, being called to the bar at Lincoln’s Inn, the first member of the Jordanian Royal Family to become a lawyer. Next, she got her LLM in International Law from the London School of Economics. In 2005, she married Britisher Khaled Edward Blair in Amman and they have one son together named Ali. Khaled works as an investment banker in London. Speaking of her husband’s conversion to Islam, she said in an interview, “He became a Muslim before we married, but I was adamant that Ed’s conversion should be out of genuine religious conviction and not because of me. Would Ed have become a Muslim if he had never met me? Maybe not, it may not have occurred to him to look into it. As it was, he studied Islam and found that it was what he believed in already.”



Prince Rashid bin Hassan (born 20 May 1979) is a member of the Jordanian royal family. He is the only son and youngest child of Prince Hassan bin Talal and Princess Sarvath al-Hassan.Prince Rashid became officially engaged to Miss Zeina Shaban (born 1988), on 3 July 2010. They married on 22 July 2011, at the Basman Palace in Amman. A table tennis champion, Princess Zeina represented Jordan at the 2003 World Table Tennis Championships in Paris, the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing where she was also the national flag bearer of Jordan. The couple has two sons: Hassan (b. 2013) and Talal (b. 2016).

Princess Sarvath looks a generation younger. It is quite amazing to think that she was not considered a beauty when she married into the JRF.  Her features have not changed perceptibly.

They plan a larger wedding celebration in Jordan when the pandemic allows. It was originally postponed to October 2020, so maybe at this date ?
