Frederik's equestrian course may cause legal problems for the fund if it is not used for popular events
As a birthday present to Crown Prince Frederik, the Maersk Foundation has nonetheless donated DKK 4.5 million for the construction of an equestrian course at Fredensborg Castle and the renovation of the stables.

According to the Royal House, the carousel must be used by the Royal Family, as well as by the royal stable and the guard posts. The lawyer Søren Bergenser, lawyer and doctor specializing in fund management underlines the importance of donations from foundations within the framework of their provisions.

- And if there is no official use of the arena and the arena is only used by the family of the crown prince for horse riding training, then it will be contrary to the foundation, he said.

The bottom line is that the board of directors may find itself in a lawsuit.

Journalist Nick Sturm then asked the following questions to the director of the Maersk AP Møller Foundation, Henrik Tvarnø, but without receiving any answers:

- Why was the fund given to the riding track?

- What are the advantages of the equestrian trail for the general public?

- What does it mean that the royal house generally recognizes a donation with an invitation to a state dinner, business visits and the granting of titles when you donate to the royal house?

- In the end, it is the taxpayers who pay for the horseback riding because the fund deducts the donations. Shouldn't you be mixing up the audience for your scams?

It's Mary who wears the riding breeches.

Although the Maersk Foundation, on paper, donated to the merry-go-round and renovation of the stables at Fredensborg Castle to Crown Prince Frederik, Mary, the leader of the family stable, has strong control over how the work is to be done.

It appears from the minutes of the meeting, where Marie and the Palace and Culture Agency met twice in the royal rooms of Fredensborg Castle to plan the course of operations.

Here Mary sat decidedly at the end of the table and, showing pictures, among other things, she exposed the style both for the details, such as the lanterns should be of classical style and the main lines of the design of the arena.

Mary recommended that a friend of the royal family, Thomas Velin, one of the best show jumping riders in the country, invent the concept of the merry-go-round:

> Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess suggested that Thomas Velin be contacted for inspiration for the floor and the construction of the runway," the minutes said.

> The Palace and Culture agency then went with Velin to see his rides, but in addition he was not involved in the project.

> Elsewhere, it should be noted that Margrethe is also aware of the main idea behind the carousel of the family of the crown prince, including the construction process and the aesthetics."

> The minutes are steeped in public concern when the family of the crown prince uses the arena. In particular, it is feared that people will look into the trail when the family is driving, and there are plans to build electronic barriers to prevent access."

Today there is a half-barrier during the transition from public space to the affected area. We have to find out if this solution is sufficient, ”he says somewhere.

Other explanations in the minutes, as well as the fact that the royal house itself will bear the operating and maintenance costs, underline that the merry-go-round is above all a private project. This contrasts with the royal house's explanation that the arena and the renovation of the stables must first and foremost be used by the royal stable and guard posts, and then only by the family of the crown prince.

For example, it appears:

> It is the court of the Crown Prince couple who received the donation and will be the main user of the facilities.

Similarly, the lack of capacity for official use is not a problem:

> When there is an escort from Fredensborg Castle, the guards come with 52 horses and DKS (the royal stables, note) 6 to 7 horses. It has been discussed that at these peak loads, moving boxes should be used. (Reporter: Nick Sturm)

August 22
Attending Copenhagen Pride: Mary's strong message: Here you can be who you are!
t has been going on tonight, when the Copenhagen Pride party featured a big show with Crown Princess Mary in one of the main roles.

Copenhagen Pride paid tribute to the LGBT + community with a bang of a party tonight.

Last year, 35,000 people took part in a huge parade, but this was not the case this year due to the corona crisis, which has led to the cancellation of the traditional parade. Instead, Pride Week was marked with lots of small events and a TV show tonight.

Crown Princess Mary was the highlight of the Pride party and the TV show, as she was the keynote speaker at the special event. The Crown Princess is the patron of Copenhagen 2021, which takes place on 12-22. August in 2021 in Copenhagen and Malmö.

- "Here you can be who you are", Crown Princess Mary said in her speech, among other things, and she also said more than once that we must stand together and focus on human rights.

Danish priest in sharp criticism of Crown Princess Mary after Pride speech: Too political

Pastor Katrine Winkel Holm believes that Crown Princess Mary has gone far beyond the border when she was the keynote speaker for Copenhagen Pride.

- "Is it really a task for Denmark's Crown Princess to be the banner bearer for political decisions that affect children in a highly debatable way?" Holm asks in a debate post in Jyllands-Posten.

Katrine Winkel Holm, parish priest and debater, believes that the Crown Princess went too far as a representative of the Danish royal family when she spoke as a keynote speaker about challenges for LGBT + people. She mentions legal gender reassignment for children as one of the controversial political issues that the Crown Princess can now be linked to.

"She must be a representative of the whole of Denmark, and it is almost as if she is saying that you are a bad person if you do not agree with the messages of these strongly political organizations."

In Crown Princess Mary's speech, she did not mention anything about individual cases such as legal gender reassignment. Does she not manage to stay out of politics in her speech?

- "Yes, she's trying, but she's saying we're going to be pioneers in the fight for the rights of LGBT + people, and that's what I want to hear, where is it, she thinks we should be at the forefront. The fact of the matter is that Priden's one of its key issues is to introduce legal gender reassignment for children. It's political when she says that, and the fact that she does not say exactly what it is that we have to take the lead on just makes it even more striking."

Crown Princess Mary has also been out with messages about the environment and refugees. Topics that are also being debated politically. Is it not because it's a topic that you feel strongly about that you think she's over the limit?

- "I also do not know if I think that the Crown Princess, for example, should have strong opinions for the environment, but yes, it is clear that this is something I stand for, so therefore I react more to it. I believe that the royal house is something that all Danes should be able to gather across, and not everyone agrees on the issues that, for example, LGBT + Denmark (which participates in Copenhagen Pride, ed.) Works for,"says Katrine Shop Holm.

These two strongly political questions concern many people.

> "She is at risk. For the role of the royal house was to this extent to come together and say that it was apolitical. They distanced themselves from controversial topics. There is a greater risk associated with further politicizing. It can go wrong,” says Sebastian Olden-Jørgensen.

Michael Bregnsbo, expert on Royal Household and stories at SDU, agrees that the Crown Princess has become more political in her speeches and that there are limits to how far she can go!

Why is the Crown Princess taking on a destructive political role?

The fight for the breakdown of gender has a strong wind in its sails, and now the gender breakdown advocates have gained a prominent advocate. The Crown Princess of Denmark herself.

Right now, it is hotly debated whether it is wise to give children the opportunity to have legal gender reassignment in Denmark.

Children and adolescents who are confused and uncomfortable with their body during a difficult period of their development can easily be tempted to take a dramatic step that risks exacerbating the confusion. So instead of enticing them with this legal option, everyone should help them accept themselves as they once were.

This is how it has been looked at so far, but as you know, a parliamentary majority now means something else. It is the result of a years-long struggle which has been fought by the left. Primus engine in the fight is LGBT + Denmark and Copenhagen Pride.

Here it is considered discrimination that you cannot stage your own gender. The legal gender reassignment of children is only the first step towards the final abolition of the “discrimination” of transgender people.

The next step is the introduction of gender-neutral civil registration numbers and medical transition, ie the right to hormone treatments on healthy people as well as gender reassignment surgeries that cannot be remade, although the operated ones often later regret the procedure themselves.

The fight for the breakdown of gender has a strong wind in its sails, and now the gender breakdown advocates have gained a prominent advocate. The Crown Princess of Denmark herself.

Recently, she appeared on Copenhagen Pride's video channel and praised in fierce terms the fight for the rights of LGBT + people.

"We must continue to be a pioneer," when it comes to the fight for LGBT +'s rights, the Crown Princess said, because "we still have challenges".

What challenges, may I ask? Yes, it can only be the absence of legal gender reassignment for children. This means, in effect, that our Crown Princess is advocating a purely party-political cause that divides the waters politically and popularly.

Is it really a task for Denmark's Crown Princess to be the banner bearer for political decisions that affect children in a highly debatable way?

In any case, she stands up and shames a gender-political group that works purposefully to break down the classical gender understanding, and which now succeeds in making minors part of this struggle with the introduction of legal gender reassignment.

And it's not just a lone swallow on the part of Her Royal Highness. No, it is only a warm-up for the big pride event that will take place in Copenhagen in 2021, and for which she will be the patron.

This means that in the coming time we will repeatedly hear gender-political peptalks from the Crown Princess who are screaming political, even if the message is wrapped in soft New Year's speech formulations.

Is it really a task for Denmark's Crown Princess to be the banner bearer for political decisions that affect children in a highly debatable way?

Is it the task of the royal house to try to make identity politics and gender degradation part of the royal house's own affairs?

The idea of a constitutional monarchy is precisely that the royal house should function as a national meeting point. In this case, she only gathers those who share her identity-political fads. The rest of us hang out.

There is reason to be concerned about what role the future royal couple will play in the future.

Being unfortunately allergic to TERFs and bible-thumpers, any of Katrine Winkel Holms rants cause me to break out in hives. I will try to deal with the topic but I must try to minimize exposure.

CP Mary has, as far as I am informed, not mentioned gender reassignment for children. She supports Pride Denmark and the LGBTQ community in Denmark. What this means is that she is showing tangible evidence that the royal family is inclusive to all members of the Danish populace. This is not a bad thing.

I refuse to adopt the notion that talking about LGBTQ rights is political, unless equal treatment of and equity for all people is political. And if it is, it bloody well shouldn't be.

For some members of my extended family (a person transitioning right now, two gay uncles, one lesbian aunt, and a person who finished their transition 10 years ago), the support from the CP has had a significant positive impact for them, especially in these days when LGBTQ rights are being rolled back everywhere, both in the US and in Europe (such as in Poland).

Mary is doing what royals should be doing and speaking up for ALL Danish people including those who are trans. These TERFs are horrible and yes JK Rowling I am looking at you as well as this priest. The hand wringing is horrible. I hope Mary really walks this walk and isn't just a righteous sounding mouthpiece of others. Her track record seems spotty or not big on the follow up but I am not in Denmark to really know. If Mary were really savvy about these things she could through her office release a statement saying that as all God's children we have to look out for everyone I mean it's not that difficult.

A country can’t run its royals on a basis of “They CAN be political when they are espousing views I agree with”.

IMO those articles are significantly more political than anything Mary has stated. They are very clearly geared toward a certain opinion. But this is about human rights.

As someone with relatives in the LGBTQ+ community, I’m tired of their personal decisions and lives being turned into political bait. They are people too and they deserve support and equal treatment under the law.

I agree!
The articles push her speech and the whole situation into another level - as there is something debatable about LGBTQ+ people, as their rights should be under discussion. That's the worst.

And honestly, Katrine Winkel Holm is the daughter of a right-wing politician in Denmark, she and they are the ones making equal rights for all a political issue. Mary is doing the right thing.

So, I've just praised Mary. Again. Someone pass me the smelling salts
