https://nos.nl/livestream...oor-de-zomervakantie.html

a clip of the posing/ photo op of the DuRFs before the summer holidays start.

My icy heart melts. Those parents are darn proud of & loving their kids.

Hm it's a livestream it seems?

The constant noise of the cameras is insane.

I really hope they keep this stream up.

Gold moment at the end when they're walking away - Amalia walking hand in hand with mom. She is one tall girl!

The interaction between the family members was very natural, and Alexia not at all obnoxious (which she sometimes seems to look like when posing). Amalia with just that tiny bit of awkwardness that comes with her are, but comfortable in her skin and already exuding confidence and a certain 'I'm boss'. From the nonverbal dynamics it was pretty clear to me that Wax is the head of the family, the leader of the pack. Not Max, even if this seems to be the case in public events.

Lovely photos of what appears to be a very loving and close family.

I feel like Alexia gets treated a bit harshly on here at times. I know we are a dishing board, but she's still a minor, and the photos being taken of her at events like this are put all over the internet for public consumption, and that's not an easy thing to have in the back if your mind at any age, but especially when you're 15.

I would not be at all surprised if that is a subconscious reason for the "posing" - wanting to look good because she knows all her classmates and friends and the cute boy/girl she has a crush on will see them. I know I'd have been mortified at that age if my family's Christmas card photo ended up on the internet/in the news every year and I'd be very conscious of how I "look" while the photos are being taken.

Love the summer photo shoots for this family!

I’m sure people who see my photos from childhood thought I was bratty too, but it was really just shyness and not liking to have my photograph taken.

Alexia is also known as a user of Tiktok, not only with (Dutch) friends but also with fellow royal kids. There is one going around of Christian of Denmark and Alexia. Also Alexia is know to be more in fashion and such then her sisters.

Máxima: 'Amalia, Alexia and Ariane missed peers during lockdown'

Princesses Amalia, Ariane and Alexia found it difficult to see their peers during the lockdown. Queen Máxima tells NU.nl that her daughters did not find it easy that they could not go to school.

During the annual summer photo session at Huis ten Bosch, the queen explains that the first weeks of the lockdown were also difficult for members of the royal family: suddenly the three teenage daughters were no longer allowed to go to school and it was still very hard to find the best way to get home to take class.

"First the schools had to figure out what they were going to do, and each teacher did something different. It took a while before the communication was properly organized, that the machine was properly organized. Slowly we found a rhythm, the first two weeks were really looking for it: how do we do this together? We have to work, they have to work and where do we do that? ", said the queen.

Princesses said 'I miss school'
Her daughters especially missed contact with classmates. "In the end, the best thing for children is to see their peers, so that was the hardest part for them. They also said, 'I miss my friends.'"

King Willem-Alexander adds: "They even dared to admit: 'I miss school, never thought I was going to miss school.'"

Like many parents, the King and Queen also helped here and there with the school work that had to be done from home. Queen Máxima: "I must say that it was not really necessary. Maths occasionally, but not much. Other children had more, I must say."

"It was no more specific than at other times, no," said the king.

Not over keen on the possible coordinated blue white look. But they do seem a lovely family. In some ways, it must be hard for Amalia as she gets older that her life is mapped out for her. A gap year sounds a good idea especially if she would be one of younger ones in the year. Hopefully by then, everything will be back to normal.

Amalia is so pretty and I'm not just talking about her features but she seems like a nice grounded girl. I think their parents probably do a very good job of responding to three very different personalities. I keep waiting for the youngest to blossom but her personality may just be more muted. Alexia seems alright to me and she's just into fashion and makeup but from a distance she looks like an older woman who has had plastic surgery in these pics. Up close its a different story but learning is part of growing up I think she'll be fine. I mean look at WA he is such a dorky dad super proud of his girls.

I have always been impressed with how close this little family appears to be. Wax and Max seem to have built a loving family unit.

I like the pictures very much, Maxima looks fantastic in the white pantsuit, and while I think that the three As have grown into beautiful young ladies, I hate what they are wearing. I hate shirt dresses. Seriously, with them it's either Nathan and his poorly tailored custom-made horrors in thick fabrics but nice vibrant colors OR off-the-rack rags like these, which have no structure and, IMO, are not appropriate to tall girls with figures like theirs...  Nono

Always nice to see annual summer photos of the family ... The girls are all nice-looking girls, Amalia has such lovely hair & looks a lot like Princess Beatrix.

I always thought that Alexia was the spitting image of her mother. To me here she is so like Beatrix, especially around the eyebrows, and the cheek and eye settings. I think out of all the three she seems the most confident, perhaps she's aware that her future role may be more one of celebrity as opposed to royal duty. I wish I had the confidence she does at that age!
Amalia is so beautiful. She seems quite quiet, almost timid, and I'm so excited to see what kind of adult royal figure she will become.
Ariane is growing up fast, the images of her at her parents' coronation seem so long ago when you look back at how young she looked there.

The Dutch royal family always look so happy, so loving, so united. They really do look like a family- sounds silly I know but with plenty of other royal families there's often a distance or coldness perceived (BRF I'm looking at you!)
