The middle daughter (Alexia?) looks so much like Bea. Amalia looks very mature, the belt is something you would expect on Mary :-). but it is hard to find one's style at that age. She looks happy and clever and she will make an awesome queen.

I do wonder about Alexia's puffy eyes - don't recall she had them before. Maybe hayfever, maybe a sleepover party with her friends that turned into a no sleep party, maybe an allergic reaction to the makeup remover her mom made her use to remove the too heavy eye make up  .

That was also something that I noticed. In addition, Alexia could still have a growth spurt, but based on these photos, she seems to become the smallest of the 3 sisters in terms of height

I loved the video and pictures.  They look like a normal. down to earth family. Alexia looks indeed like she will be the smallest, even though all of them will be tall. I have the impression Alexia is already taller than Max, isn't she? I noticed the puffy eyes too, and a huge resemblance with Bea .

I'm not a fan of shirt dresses, but I think they all are looking great.

First to transport clothing and such to their holiday destination and then the royals themselves. How much money would this cost, and who is paying for it??  This is the upcoming situation if we have to believe the media reports.

King took his family to Greece, among other places'


King Willem-Alexander appears to have made the necessary private flights in 2019 with the government aircraft PH-GOV. This is evident from figures that government aircraft expert Menno Swart revealed this week. Price tag: 250,000 euros.

Holidays in Greece
Swart writes that the king made flights to and from Greece, among other things, to enjoy the sun with his family in the capital villa they own there. There is nothing illegal about this, he is allowed to use the Boeing 737 in private. Princess Beatrix and Queen Máxima also have this privilege.

Extra private planes and helicopters
In addition to the aforementioned 250,000 euros, more flight costs were incurred: for 315,000 euros, extra private aircraft were hired, because the government aircraft was only ready in July. The royals might have to be careful. We live in a modern society where you usually work for your position. Your parents can help you initially, but there is a stage when you have to swim by yourself.

Monarchie is the paradox opposite: you have to be born into your position that you have wheather you are good or not. Equally strange: you can marry a woman from any social layer (MM, Sophia, ...) and parade her beside you (it does not work as well with men, see Chris O'Neill or Dan) - if she was a waitress on social welfare before - it won't matter.

If you are a good monarch, people won't mind. EII gives so much back to her country, most women adore the royal weddings and other "bling" occassions, EII provides stability. Silvia was a commited queen, so was Bea. But - the 21st century faces different problems based on different values.

Soon enough it is not enough to have a public life and father some cute kids - you will have to provide answers to current problems, just not adding to them by irresponsibly and selfishly flying around in the world.

But you are right, maybe not so much in the future. In an IPSOS article last year, it said that in a few years, they wont be "approved" by majority of the youth. I used to wonder why, as I find Max so adorable. But now I kind of get it.

I know, right? I mean have a holiday, but don't be ostentatious about it. So many people have had their world travel plans cancelled (my cousins boys were supposed to go to Africa, my own daughter was supposed to go backpacking with a group in Northwest Canada, and on and on). Instead we drove four hours south and rented a house on the beach and called that one week our vacation.

Royals can have modest vacations to suit the times, even if they have the means to have the annual grand vacations they are used to.
