I first thought it was corona but it was a blood clot. I hope it isn't to bad and he recovers qukicly. Prayers for the family!

Danish Prince Joachim, 51, had to go to hospital in Toulouse, France, with a blood clot in his brain late last night.

It announces the royal house in a press release.

The prince was operated on immediately and his condition is said to be stable. The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe, has called for calm and the royal family currently has no more information, they announce.

Princess Marie is in the hospital with her husband.

His Royal Highness Prince Joachim was admitted to the University Hospital of Toulouse, France, late last night. The prince was operated on immediately afterwards for a blood clot in the brain and the operation was successful. The condition of His Royal Highness is stable today.

The Royal House does not currently have further information, but it is Her Majesty the Queen's wish that the family be reassured by the public during the hospitalization. Her Royal Highness Princess Marie is with her husband.

Oh dear.

It sounds like they probably preformed an endovascular thrombectomy for the treatment of an ischemic stroke.  But thatís just my guess basis on a blood clot in the brain and the prompt intervention.

Definitely sending prayers their way.

A blood clot in the brain is very bad and frightening. Modern medicine can save from a lot of damage but a stroke is very, very bad thing to happen and can leave permanent damage or sadly be fatal. Fingers crossed and praying that Joachim comes out from it!!!
