Albert was in Los Angeles to preside over a prestigious evening organized by the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
This year's 60th anniversary is celebrated and it was naturally in the capital of cinema and television that the launch of the celebrations took place. Many celebrities and professionals have met at the Sunset Tower Hotel, a mythical place located on the famous Hollywood Sunset Boulevard.

The festival will celebrate this 60th anniversary from June 19 to 23 in Monaco. Created in 1961 by Prince Rainier III, the Monte-Carlo TV Festival has been presenting the latest trends in the small screen since its beginnings and anticipates the revolutions of the sector.

On a permanent watch over the international television world, this festival is considered by professionals as a reference.
The greatest actors, producers, directors, screenwriters and studio and TV channel leaders meet in the Principality every year around series launches, preview screenings, conferences and evenings.

This festival is also a competition that rewards with Golden Nymphs and special prizes for films, documentaries and reports in the fiction and news categories.

February 9
Albert inaugurated the exhibition at the Grammont Cultural Pole in Rouen during a trip to Seine-Maritime on September 13, 2019, in the footsteps of his ancestors.
This unprecedented exhibition, which has become travelling since December 2019, was designed by the Departmental Archives of Seine-Maritime, under the police station of MM. Vincent Maroteaux, Curator General of Heritage, and Michel Bloche, Curator of Heritage, in collaboration with the Archives of the Palais de Monaco.

It presents historical documents, paintings and precious objects, tracing the history of the family and the Duchy of Estouteville, from the village of Valmont, evoking the links and places that unite Haute-Normandy with the Grimaldi.

After Rouen and Fauville, the exhibition will continue its itinerary in Seine-Maritime in Etoutteville in February and March and Valmont in Spring 2020.

February 9-10
Albert travelled to Kalamata, Greece, as part of the Monaco Explorations to join the team of the Caladan Ocean expedition led by explorer Victor Vescovo.
The goal of this mission was to descend into the "Calypso" pit, located southwest of the Peloponnese Peninsula. On Monday, February 10, Victor Vescovo and H.S. Prince Albert reached the depth of less than 5109 meters, the deepest point in the Mediterranean Sea.

The dive that lasted almost five hours took place aboard a submersible equipped with a sonar system and other instruments allowing it to go deep into the oceans.

During this dive, a large amount of plastic debris (bags, bottles, etc.) has been observed. The Mediterranean Sea is considered one of the most polluted in the world by plastic waste.

Albert received MM. Pascal Olmeta and Christophe Santini, in audience at the palace.
Next November, C. Santini, a high-level triathlete will tackle a new challenge, to break the record of distance travelled while skiing in Antarctica, 1150 km in total autonomy in less than 50 days and by temperatures close to-40 degrees Celsius.

Christophe Santini supports the association of Pascal Olmeta, the former charismatic goalkeeper, "A smile, a hope for life", that helps children with serious illnesses.

Albert, who visited the South Pole's scientific bases in January 2009, wanted to support this extraordinary adventure.

February 22
Albert visited the restoration site of the "Grand Apartments" of the Prince's Palace.
Albert, who pays particular attention to the heritage and historical presentation of his residence, decided almost five years ago to carry out a fundamental restoration of the painted, exterior and interior decor of the Palace; but also to renew the presentation of public tours, open from April to October.

The methodology chosen by the restaurant team, which uses only products of natural origin, is designed to be both environmentally friendly and building integrity.

This new route of visits to the Palace will be chronological.

At different stages, it will offer mediation tools (such as a child's booklet or the discovery of a choice of works for the visually impaired) to better understand Monaco's history through the walk in the Palace.

Located on the foundations of a medieval fortress transformed into a monarchic residence in the th and th centuries, these cabinets, antechambers, bedrooms and living rooms were intended for the princely ceremonial ceremony and for the reception of high-ranking guests. They are arranged around the Throne Room and the royal room, called York.

These exhibitions are still regularly used for major events, such as Monaco National Day on November 19, or the welcome of branded visitors.

During this work, curators-restaurateurs and painters in heritage decor have discovered a set, so far unknown, of original frescoes in good state of preservation, attributed to th century Genoese masters.

In order to answer the questions raised by this discovery, these teams of specialists immediately put in place an ambitious scientific, artistic and historical research work.

The first stage of the restructuring of visits and the restoration-renovation of frescoes will end at the end of March; it will allow the public to discover these wonders of the Italian Renaissance as of April 2
