Mary is wearing separates that I would not have picked to go together off the rack, but I think they do go together in action and she looks okay in it. I love that Marie and Joachim both wore velvet!

Jamie Lannister

Mary probably made sure he sat at her table. I can't say I blame her.

November 10
STATE VISIT TO GERMANY - Day 1
On the first day of the visit, Daisy & Derf were officially received by Germany's President and First Lady at their official residence, Schloss Bellevue.

What's Steinmeiering trying to do...fly?  Blink

If I'm interpreting Daisy's diplomatic streak right, she is wearing the colour of Germany's state flower: Kornblume (cornflower)...or at least a shade of it - very nice

There was a great atmosphere at Berlin's famous Brandenburg Gate on Wednesday afternoon, when Queen Margrethe and Crown Prince Frederik visited the historic landmark.

The royal duo seemed to enjoy the exciting state visit, and it was no doubt also gratifying to see that a large group of Danes living in Berlin had turned up in front of the Brandenburg Gate to pay tribute to the Queen and Crown Prince.

And it was also a very special and historic moment when the Queen and the Danish heir to the throne together visited the famous city gate, which for 200 years has been a landmark for Berlin and for Germany.

After a full nine program items in just one day, Queen Margrethe and Crown Prince Frederik ended the first day of their state visit to the German capital Berlin on Wednesday evening by participating in a large and festive state banquet. It's happening right now at the beautiful Schloss Bellevue with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier as its well-placed host

The relationship between Denmark and Germany was the main theme during Queen Margrethe's speech on Wednesday evening. The speech was given in connection with a state visit to the German capital, Berlin, where Crown Prince Frederik also participates.

In her speech to the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Queen mentioned that Denmark's relations with Germany have not always been as good as they are today.

- "Everything has not always been as harmonious as it is today. I myself belong to one of the generations that have grown up, while the relationship between Denmark and Germany was very difficult".

- "Fortunately, this is not the case today", she added.

The speech was given at a state banquet in the presidential residence Schloss Bellevue.

The last time Queen Margrethe met the German president was a few months ago in connection with the celebration of reunification in Southern Jutland in 1920.

That visit further underlined the good relations that exist between our two countries and the close ties that bind the peoples of the border country together. Steinmeier at the time described the meeting with the queen as a pioneering understanding between the two countries. It writes the German news agency DPA. On Wednesday morning, the Queen also met the outgoing Chancellor, Angela Merkel. They had breakfast together at Merkel's official residence.

Looks like a good visit and they look like they’re both engaged and happy, something you don’t see a lot of from Fred lately.  I love the expression on their faces while they’re walking arm in arm in one of the pics.

November 11
STATE VISIT TO GERMANY - Day 2
Daisy & Fred attended the opening of a Danish-German business conference at the conference center Kosmos in Berlin, which used to be a movie theater.

On the red carpet, a sweet surprise awaited Queen Margrethe, as nine-year-old Vilja stood ready with flowers for the royal guest of honor. Vilja has a German mother and a Danish father and lives daily in Berlin and it was not planned that she would be ready with flowers.

After the opening of the conference, this morning, the Queen and the Crown Prince will split up, so that Crown Prince Frederik will continue to attend various seminars with a focus on health and food, among other things, while the Queen moves on to various other royal tasks in Berlin.

Special morning for the Queen of Denmark. After an exciting and eventful first day during the state visit to Berlin, where Queen Margrethe among other things met great political personalities such as Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, visited a state-of-the-art hospital, laid a wreath, and visited the Brandenburg Gate, on the second day it is all about other stuff.

Thus, this morning, Queen Margrethe focuses on wonderful music and well-known Danish authors. She first arrived at the Barenboim-Said-Akademie Conservatory of Music, where high-level music is taught. Then the Queen was shown into the beautiful elliptical concert hall Pierre Boulez, which opened in 2017 and where the royal guest now enjoys lovely music played by the venue's students.

The visit marks the start of a new four-year collaboration agreement between the Statens Kunstfond and Pierre Boulez Saal, which means that, among other things, Danish composers will have the opportunity to perform some of their works for a German audience in the hall.

Meanwhile, Freddles held a speech at the Danish-German business progress that is taking place in connection with the state visit, the Crownprince has also visited an exhibition site for the international dissemination of modern architecture and city design and music venue in the district of Kreuzberg.

At the AEDES Architecture Forum, which is a world-renowned, independent institution, Prince Frederik was told about the future housing forms. In addition, the Crown Prince was shown around two current exhibitions and on that occasion, a seminar was observed. Later in the day, the Crown prince visited the music playground Festsaal Kreuzberg. The visit formed a frame about the launch of "NEUSTART", there is a new investment for modern, Danish music on the German market in 2022. In connection with the visit, he observed a number of speeches from, among others, Minister of Culture Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen and musical performances.

Daisy hosted a return dinner in Berlin on Thursday night with Crown Prince Frederik by her side.
It was a wonderful sight when Queen Margrethe wearing an elegant party dress on Thursday night arrived at the magical setting of the Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin, where she is hosting the grand return dinner.

The glamorous event takes place in honor of Germany's Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Mrs. Elke Büdenbender.

The pics of Marge and Fred where she’s wearing the white coat are cute. I also like her dark green evening dress. Also it’s nice to see her without a dead animal draped around her.

I love the picture of the lady in the front row smiling at Fred. Her foot is kind of cranked which seems very coquettish like she likes him. I wonder if Mary cares anymore when he gets female attention.

I don't think I've seen Fred smiling so much and being so engaged in a long time.  Margrethe looks great and they both appear to have genuinely enjoy the visit.
