Hopefully he can learn something about monarchy-in from his grandma. Can’t count on his dear old (drunk) dad to teach him.

His appearance will change over time... many good looking men were not so as teenagers... men are considered to have better prospects to age “well” than women...

I think Christian has realized that granny can prepare him way better for his future role than dad or mom. For dad it seems to be a challenge to get out of bed.
That poor child will soon be in the same position as IA of Norway - he surely can't do something else until he is in his 30s or 40s, he needs to start doing public engagements as soon as he is 18 to fill the gap that Daisy will sadly leave one day.

I think there is no doubt Ingrid and Christian will get the chance to be in the military (if they wish) and study, possible abroad, well into their 20s before they are expected to work full time, and possible take a year of to work for a NGO or international organisation/embassy. Their fathers did that and Im sure they will make sure the same is possible for their kids.
I think the real challenge is when they turn 18 and how the press will start to cover them, how much or litle privacy will they get, their parents did not grow up with social media where everyone will have a camera with them at all times..I suspect it will be a challenge and there will be tensions between the courts and media if the glossys publisj photos of them at the beach with a new love or with friends...

The upside for Christian is that he is of the age where rebellion against the parents is a teenager's raison d'etre.
Luckily for him, rebelling against his parents means he will strive to be a good, well- educated, well-bred, driven individual who appreciates the position he was born into and puts duty first, self second. Unlike his parents.
It's good that he has his grandmother to look up to.

For all her crazy outfits, I think Daisy will be a good role model for Christian. He seems to be a nice young man.

Nice tribute from Daisy! https://www.kongehuset.dk...rh-prince-philips-funeralDisplay of flags in connection with HRH Prince Philip’s funeralHer Majesty The Queen has decided that flags will fly at half-mast at Amalienborg on Saturday, 17 April 2021 in connection with the funeral of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
The funeral takes place in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle at 16:00 hrs Danish time. Prince Philip, who was born Prince of Greece and Denmark, passed away on 9 April at the age of 99. Only at the one castle? Flags in Australia were at half mast throughout the country. Perhaps the difference in status / relation to the UK and such? As Australia is a federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy, with Elizabeth II as Queen. She isn't queen or such of Denmark Does Fred know the difference? but my dear Fairy, Frodo's mum is Lillibet, as he told us G

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...

I do think Fred has a most winsome smile. And if he has to be scruffy, well, he does scruffy pretty well. I like all their smiles. Not forced at all.

That is a LOT of blue in that picture! Would have liked to have seen the Sec'y of State with a red tie, just for some visual interest! Marge looks wonderful and unstoppable, as usual
