Margrethe has osteoarthritis in the back. The royal court didn't announce her condition for some time, and the press apparently chose not to write how she would sometimes doze off during official engagements. It was then revealed her medicine made her drowsy.
It is extremely painful. I have osteoarthritis in the early stages in my knee, and I can only imagine how painful it must be in the back. I have always assumed her tilt is a result of her having osteoarthritis.

The Danish royal family is in mourning after Prince Henrik's big sister, Françoise Bardin, has passed away.

According to several German and French media, she died on Wednesday, November 10, at the age of 90. Condolences from near and far have reached Cahors, including a touching letter from Queen Margrethe, according to the media. Françoise Bardin, born Laborde de Monpezat, lost her husband, Claude Bardin, in 2017 and her brother, Prince Henrik, in 2018. Françoise Bardin was born in 1932 in Hanoi in Indochina, before returning to France in 1937 with her parents who settled in Albas.

Her passing follows that of her husband Claude Bardin in 2017; and that of his brother Prince Henrik of Denmark in 2018 at the age of 83, at Fredensborg Palace. Three years ago, the Prince's four siblings went to his funeral in Scandinavia to pay him a final tribute.

Throughout her life, she worked for the benefit of others. An activist in the wearing of compulsory seat belts in vehicles, she was notably the president of the departmental committee for road safety" in Cahors. In this capacity, she was awarded the distinction of Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 1996.

In what was Françoise Bardin's hometown, Espère, Mayor Mathieu Redoulès has also expressed his respectful tribute to the family. Françoise Bardin was laid to rest on Saturday.

BB has contacted the Danish royal family, but they have not yet returned the inquiry. Queen Margrethe has been on a major German state visit from Wednesday 10 November to Saturday 13 November.  Also in Berlin on Wednesday and Thursday was Crown Prince Frederik.

Very strong sibling resemblance. I wonder if she was as bee-yoo-dee-ful when she was young as he was?
