Joachim and Marie attended an award ceremony at the Institute of France
They attended the 2020 awards ceremony of the Stéphane Bern Foundation for History and the Heritage Institute of France. The award ceremony was held in the presence of First Lady Brigitte Macron.

First Lady Brigitte Macron presented the 2020 Heritage Prize awarded to Maisons Paysannes de France.

The second award, the History Prize 2020, was presented by Joachim.

Thank you for the identification. I appreciate it.

It is not one of her best I am guessing or perhaps it looks good in movement only. My first impression is that it was enlarged by adding a panel of a dark colour.

Mme. Macron is also not at her best in this suit.

I love the brocade fabric, but the black side panels make the dress look strange. The cut and line of it is classically beautiful.

So everyone else has a jacket on .... style is ok but the fabric mismatch is strange .....

It did seem to be a bit more formal than what everyone else was wearing.  But I'm just so happy to see Marie again that I'm gleefully overlooking that!

i agree. maybe because it is a bit more formal and elegant that's why she didn't wear a jacket/blazer.
