The big bow collar or style of the top is not flattering it looks awkward... the top and sleeves seem to not coordinate well with the skirt fabric but I do like the slimline cut of the dress

A pretty dress and a perfect fit. Mary looks good.
At first I thought Hugo Boss because it remind me of a black/white dress of Letizia that is similar cut but no it is McQueen and it looks better without a belt. Strange, to me, that it is advertised proudly as 'Synthetic' even if it is the truth. For me 'synthetic' is the last thing I will choose.

Mary owns alot of Hugo Boss, so it could very well be.

No it seems it is this one per NewMyRoyals: and with a tag 'Synthetic Long Off-shoulder Knitted Dress' In my mind was this one from HB:

Mary looks good in the dress. I'm not a fan of boat necks, but that's me. She is just the same. Always about the outfit and the posing. Starmakers was MADE with her. Still, she shows up, does her duty, clearly embraces her perception of her role (see above--be outfitted and pose), and doesn't talk smack about her in-laws. Is Mary now the married-in to emulate???

We (or I anyway) notice the Marys and Letizias and Kates because they are more interested (and interesting) in clothes and of course also some of the causes they represent.

She certainly has benefited from the excrescences of some other parties. She has changed somewhat though - way less head-tossing and I haven’t seen the cutesie-poo routine in ages. And her crush on Christian Bach (avec lolling head and parted-lip pose) is ancient history.

That slit is too high for the type of dress/event it is, and the darts on the bust make it look like she has droopy...not sure what I'm allowed to write bc I don't want to be inappropriate! But it looks like she needs some covers on her girls. She looks cold and saggy, if that conveys my meaning.
