October 26Joachim - as patron of Europa Nostra Danmark, presented the Prince Henrik's Europa Nostra Prize in CPThe award ceremony undoubtedly evokes memories of Prince Joachim, who was previously by his father, Prince Henrik's side, when he awarded the scholarship.
The Danish Cultural Heritage Prize, which was established in 2006 and awarded for the first time in 2008, was created when Prince Henrik, after having been a patron of the main organization Europa Nostra for a number of years, wanted to maintain contact with the organization.
Europa Nostra aims to promote the architectural and landscape cultural heritage, raise the standard within urban and landscape planning and promote quality within the traditional building craft. The Danish branch of the organization belongs to the main organization Europa Nostra, which is located in The Hague. Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a person or organization that has excelled in supporting the cultural heritage of Denmark.
Prince Joachim has previously awarded the prize in the Knights' Hall in Christian VIII's Palace, at Fredensborg Castle, and on the royal ship Dannebrog.
