I think you can go two ways if you raise royal children: The one way is to make sure from an very early age that they are aware that they are being filmed and act accordingly (William and Kate, Leti and Filip, Victoria), try and leave them out of the lime light (works for spares and minor royals, approach of the Wessexes, partly of the BRF). Or let them act happy-go-lucky and provide the excuse "kid".

Josi with the age of 10 is about to cross into teenager years and different underlying measurements. It shows that she has been brought up rather liberal. If you grew up in a conservative you would simply not act like this. I work as a secondary teacher and I can assure you that this is the philosophy of a lot of parents "my kid should grow up free and make its own mind".

Not sure how Danish people bring up their children in general.

If Marie were Josie’s mother Josie  would be well behaved.

Well clearly the Dutch middle daughter potentially has issues but same parenting???

Let us wait another say 5 years before we say one Danish Princess has done better with a daughter?

Gross they are munching their popcorn with open mouths. At least Isabella has the wherewithal to nudge Josie when she starts up with the catching popcorn with her mouth business. What monkey business with that one. I think Joachim and Alexandra did good to give their children media training balanced with imperatives that they will have to figure out their own lives it is the best balance to accepting that they earn their own living but there will be media interest in them for a while. This is just more proof that Fred and Mary aren't really in the parenting business.

I don't understand, what eating popcorn in public with the mouth open or throwing tantrums has to do with being royal or not.

Imo it's about good or bad behavior, which I would require from my neighbors child just as much.

Also Josie is ten. When is the excuse of but she's just a kid, not being used anymore? At 20? 30?

I think the evidence is very much there for the world to see.

In the video, Izzy’s quick sharp elbow immediately stops her younger sister from continuing the catching popcorn trick.  So, I personally think Josie’s first inclination is to be a bit of a showoff, but she certainly knows how to settle down.  She offered popcorn to a friend too, so I think from what little we see, the kids are alright.

My nephew is nine and this is something he would totally do, and he’d get a sharp word from his parents and stop.  But, I bet the next day he’d do something similar, and the story would play out again.  It’s just his nature, whereas his brother is a model kid for behavior.  Same parenting.

Vincent always has impressed me.  Even when he was truly little, he always seems quite composed.

Fred's suit is a mess. Too long sleeves, too long trouser legs, pulling at the buttons. Oh, and his shoes look creased, too.

Does this man not know the meaning of the word tailoring?

If his dearly departed father could alter his suits to cover his elephant pregnancy belly, surely Derf can have his sleeves and trousers properly hemmed.

Wow. Mary’s face looks plastic in those photos. And . . . She spoke and he didn’t??

Welp, I guess we know who will take the crown when it eventually changes heads. Gawd.

I'm reminded of Catherine the Great for some reason....though I'm not sure Mary lacks quite the amount of cunning the Empress had.
