My reaction too. Perhaps they chose to keep only two and gave the others up for adoption? Two would be extremely strange for a breed this size.

I think Australian shepherds are an American breed. Grace is a border collie (her pups perhaps have a bit of Huntaway).

For some reason I thought, she got Ziggy as a present upon her marriage as a reminder of OZ. Live and learn.
In that old documentary about the DRF, poor nobbled Fred appears to have exercised the only power he had - there’s footage of him taking Ziggy for a run and talking to him
in French! Ziggy was probably the only member of Fred's immediately family that listened to him
Or, if Mary can't speak French, perhaps he spoke to Ziggy in the language so Mares couldn't understand him b*tching about her
