Nothing to do with her I'd presume but rather his mother who encouraged him to live elsewhere for a while. He is an attache at the Embassy in Paris - not a permanent position. And his wife is French as was his father ... maybe wanting to do something different ... my parents encouraged me to do the same - I worked in US,NZ, UK, Netherlands and in many places in Australia - which has a much larger land mass than most of Europe .... it would not be too hard for him to go "home" for a weekend |

I would imagine, like so many other things, COVID has had an impact on their plans and its easier to stay put for now. Apparently his term in his current position is three years from 2020 so I'd say France is their abode for a while |

Despite them not being in Denmark and doing events there, think the move to France has been good for them. Despite the obvious health scare, Joachim has recovered well, looks really good and the whole family looks happy.

Joachim looks 15 yrs older than he is, I know it is the stroke but it is also from smoking. I hope he and Marie have quit that habit.

I don’t know about Marie but Joachim doesn’t smoke anymore. Good. It really affects every organ in the body, including skin. Odd that it doesn’t really seem to have affected his mother, except for her teeth, but then again a lot of smokers lose teeth early. Marge is a tough cookie. |

I don’t know about Marie but Joachim doesn’t smoke anymore. Good. It really affects every organ in the body, including skin. Odd that it doesn’t really seem to have affected his mother, except for her teeth, but then again a lot of smokers lose teeth early. Marge is a tough cookie. I think Marge has some kind of dinosaur gene because with the amount she smokes she should have died by now. |
