Silvia and Sofia held a meeting with Elisabeth Dahlin, the Ombudsman for Children in Sweden

Poor Silvia must miss her daughter a lot in events like this.

Agreed.

I wonder if the Ombudsman wanted to bring up Sofia's comments about girls dancing for the boys etc.

Really there's no need to St Hoefia to be there. She has never contributed anything worthwhile to children's welfare both in Sweden or elsewhere. All of her engagement with children's organisations makes me wonder (panic) that she is being groomed to take over WCF after Silvia is unable to. She should be enjoying her maternity leave and newborn son...and keep away from the Royal Court as much as possible!

If she often does appointments with her, then Iím guessing she will take over eventually. I am surprised sheís not on mat leave right now. Julian is what... a month old? If even that!

Really? Victoria strikes me as a very no-nonsense type of person. I think she will be able to manage them. She might even be grateful for their help because if her parents go while her children are still young, she will appreciate the support in her brother since Madeleine lives in America.

You can be on mat leave and still leave your child for a few hours. It would be no problem for her. There's CP and the nannys.

Other than to the porn industry she has never conducted anything worthwhile.

Also Silvia would surely love to do this with Madde. I'm not so sure she's comfortable with Sofia doing this. My guess she's just trying to be nice.

I fear you're not. I think we'll see more of CP and his wife, once CG is gone.

They may need someone to step in until Estelle and Oscar are old enough.

I suspect Vic wonít stand up ... she let the challenge to her desire to marry Daniel go too long... her father is a nasty piece of work... and her mother turned a blind eye as she wanted the glory and still does .... they knew Vic was the heir before CP was born but allowed all the ďpoor boyĒ crap to happen

Don't under-estimate Victoria. I think once her father in particular is gone, she will really step into her own.

I think Victoria is very strong- didnít she stick with Daniel for a decade despite her parents- her father at least- not approving? I think she knows what she wants and quietly and determinedly gets it as she knows she canít overrule or go against her father. However, when he is no longer around she can be more direct in her will being seen out. Also I do think maybe Victoria, like many heirs who have had a long wait to accession may not be as modernising and radical as people thing, she may really get on with CP and Sofia and so they may stick around in just the same way.

There are a lot of people who do not mind soft porn and girls (or boys) just "having fun" and "doing stupid things". Look at Frodo: He is hardly ever seen, looks sloppy and bored at events and totally gets away with it. MM with a history was allowed to marry into the family and it not criticized for not working (fair enough, she is sick now, but the decade she had the flu went unnoticed as well). People seem to be very tolerant when it comes to work ethic or history of their monarch or part of the royal family (or Prince Albert who fathered Good knows how many children while his one sister broke up a marriage and the other went through the male staff ...)

Thereís little evidence she has changed on a fundamental level. She still gets too much credit for the things she does and over-zealous PR is always a red flag.
