Yup, but originally it was for her safety and experiencing how it regularly went. Several would act different if they were aware the (then) Crown Princess was in the Red Light District

She had also conversations with hookers.

It should all have been kept a big secret. In 1965, Major Bosshardt of the Salvation Army took Princess Beatrix through the Red Light District, the red light district of Amsterdam. In disguise, because the young princess was not to be recognized. In the end, despite her wig, headscarf and thick glasses, she was recognized during the distribution of De Strijdkreet, the magazine of the Salvation Army.

The goodwill work of Alida Margaretha Bosshardt, as the 'salvationist' is called in full, appealed very much to the Royal House. That is why the princess decided to move into the district with the major. In addition to handing out De Strijdkreet, they also visit prostitutes at home.

Louise and Martine Fokken, the well-known twin sisters who have been working as prostitutes in the Red Light District for more than fifty years, are visited by the princess. "That Beatrix has made fun of us," they said in an interview with the AD. "She acted as if she had a boyfriend and had to go to work. We thought: Major Bosshardt picked her up from the gutter."

The sisters told Beatrix that she would not have to do this work. They turned out to be right, because the lady in question turned out to be the crown princess.

The major and the later queen continued to see and speak to each other often. In 2014 Beatrix returned to the red light district to open the new Salvation Army reception building: the Majoor Bosshardtburgh.

https://www.nu.nl/konings...r-amsterdamse-wallen.html

Article about the event, opening of a specific 3D printed bridge in Amsterdam, which Maxima did last week.
De Wallen (or the Amsterdamse Wallen) are the Dutch name of the specific Amsterdam Red Light District.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Wallen

Article loosely translated as:

Máxima sometimes takes foreign friends to Amsterdam Red Light District

Queen Máxima sometimes takes foreign friends to Amsterdam's Red Light District. "This neighborhood is Amsterdam's own," Máxima declared during the opening of a bridge in the Amsterdam neighbourhood.

The Red Light District was therefore included in her introductory tour through the Netherlands, during which she went into the country partly incognito and with a black wig. "I was here back in 1999. I had read a lot about it."

Máxima had a conversation in Café Stoof on the Oudezijds Achterburgwal with Cor van Dijk of entrepreneurs' association BIZ Burgwallen and owner of, among others, Casa Rosso and the Bananenbar.

The Queen was in the cafe to talk about the new temporary bridge she had just opened, but Van Dijk was curious if Máxima had been in the area before. So that was the case. She had also walked the Red Light District at the time.

The Queen also shared that daughter Amalia will receive her diploma on Thursday. Princess Amalia, who will turn eighteen at the end of this year and will then be entitled to the throne, passed her final exam with honors last month. "It is a very busy day," said Queen Máxima.

The family poses for the press on Friday during the annual summer photo session at Huis ten Bosch.

September 2 - Queen Máxima 'raises a glass' at Gulpener brewery

Queen Máxima paid a working visit to beer brewer Gulpener in Gulpen (in the Dutch province of Limburg) on Thursday.

In 2020, the brewery won the Koning Willem I Prize in the sustainability category. This is a prize that is awarded every two years.

Harvesting hop cones
First, various growers were visited. The Majesty talked to them about how barley and wheat are grown, among other things. They then harvested ripe hop cones in the fields in Reijmerstok. The plants are used as a preservative and flavoring agent in the preparation of beer. This happened in the company of acting governor Johan Remkes and mayor Nicole Ramaekers-Rutjens van Gulpen-Wittem, among others.

Brewhouse
The working visit moved to Gulpener's brewery around 1:00 PM. There, the Queen received more information about new brewing techniques and the processing of local raw materials. But it didn't stop there: she also got a history lesson about the beer brewer.

The day was dominated by beer and that is not surprising when you visit a beer brewery. The previously harvested hop cones were allowed to hand over the majesty to the microbrewery, where special beer was made. Everyone ended the day there.

Princi what are the mask mandates (if any) in the Netherlands?

Currently they are relatively loose, in comparison to before.

https://www.rijksoverheid...apjes/mondkapje-verplicht

Loosely translated as:

When should I wear a face mask?

A face mask is mandatory in public transport, passenger transport, in airplanes, at airports and at secondary schools. The mask obligation applies to everyone from 13 years old.

Locations where a mouth cap is required by law
It is legally required to wear a face mask in the following places:

secondary schools;
in public transport and in commercial passenger transport. Also on the platforms and at the stops; and
on the plane and at airports.
Always keep the mask on on an airplane or public transport. Even when you are seated.

Indoor spaces: administrator determines
Building managers can decide for themselves whether you should wear a face mask inside. They can put that in their house rules. This also applies to indoor spaces where face masks are not required by law. Some sectors have their own guidelines for this. For example:

- care locations, such as a hospital, general practitioner or physiotherapist;
- community centers, churches or mosques; or
-test and injection locations of the GGD.

Reason for mouth cap obligation
The mask obligation now only applies in places where it is not always possible to keep 1.5 meters away. The government wants to use this measure to prevent the spread of the corona virus. When you wear a mask, you mainly protect the people around you. If they wear a mask, they protect you.

I myself travel a lot with public transport. In my own experience, I see many people on the train without a mouth cap and / or not wearing it correctly. Usually young people who only put on the mouth cap when they notice a check (which is often at random). This is practically impossible in the buses, I myself have experienced several drivers who point this out to passengers.

Understandable Smiley

The short English wiki about Gulpener
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulpener

The name Gulpener comes from the Limburg town of Gulpen, from where the brewery originated. This place is located where the river Gulp flows into the other river Geul.
