It's no secret that I love her, so I'm anything but neutral, but it just seems like she is (or has become?) such a natural in front of the camera; she never seems pretentious or overly impressed with herself, but she comes across as warm and genuine and interested.  (I may just be seeing what I want to see, to be fair!)

No, I agree with you. Victoria was never one of my favourites, she was just kind of always 'there' but lately she has really been hitting her stride and she just comes across as so warm and natural. I feel like she would be one of the best royals to meet.

She looks absolutely lovely here.

Crown Princess's Birthday

H.K.H. The Crown Princess celebrates her birthday on 14 July on Öland, where the entire Royal Family gathers at Solliden Castle.

The royal family is looking forward to reconvening at Solliden during the summer. However, due to the current restrictions, as well as the risk of creating crowds, the Crown Princess does not meet the public to receive congratulations at the roundabout in front of Solliden Castle.

The public celebration of the Crown Princess's birthday begins only at the Victoria Concert in Borgholm Castle Ruins, where the Crown Princess couple and parts of the Royal Family participate.

In connection with the concert, the Crown Princess awards the Victoria Prize, which this year goes to ice skater Nils van der Poel.

The concert is traditionally broadcast on SVT1 on the evening of the birthday.

Photo opportunity is organized in connection with the concert.

Victoria paid a visit to Gripsholm Castle in Södermanland. Gripsholm has been linked to the royal family for over 600 years and was a royal residence for almost 300 years. It now features the national portrait collection and a sixty hectare deer reserve.

So funny we all have different tastes here on RD. I dislike the first dress and the color (on her). Too busy. All I see is that stripe across the top of her chest. The second dress is much better, imo. Suits her.
