She looks good on her own. In this outfit she would not really stand out among Dutch young people. Personally, I really don't understand the ripped jeans / jeans with holes at the knees for a very long time. Why spend (so much) money on ripped jeans, when you might as well use really worn jeans It's interesting how teens can dress in Europe in a similar way and yet there are obvious differences in countries. Ripped jeans were never really a hit in Spain and they've been very much out of fashion in the last couple of years. If you look at what Alexia and Leonor are wearing you can see differences in teenage culture dressing - in Spain slim fit or skinny jeans with normal size t-shirts and jackets together with flat shoes or sandals are standard clothing for teens. I know there is a huge difference between how Spanish teens dress compared to British ones, but I was a bit surprised seeing Alexia with ripped jeans (nothing against them, just so out of fashion from my end) Ripped jeans have been in fashion for a while now in the Netherlands. Currently I often get a '90s vibe when I see outfits of late teenagers / young adults. And not always positive....

Me too, it certainly brings back the horrors of my teenage years...big glasses, mom jeans. I have terrible photos. I suppose its good thing she can dress how she pleases. Really hope they are a relatively cheap pair from H&M or Zara. Hopefully she doesn’t adopt the current British teenager trend of fake tan, nails and gigantic eyebrows and hair scraped back in a bun(sometimes)

I genuinely was surprised to see Alexia with ripped jeans but as long as she's wearing same as other teen in the Netherlands, all good. Being a woman who has turned 60 I refuse to criticise teens, I still remember the battles with my mother when I wanted to wear hot pants in my late teens. And they were reaaaaallly hot pants.

Huge fake nails, fake tan, big boobs showing with a very tight top, tight mini skirt and platform shoes are NOT a good look.

It is interesting how it varies among teens in such close countries... I love the description of what Spanish teens are wearing; don't care for what Dutch teens are wearing, and HATE what British teens are wearing! Speaking broadly of course!

Unless they watch nothing but TOWIE, I can’t imagine any of these girls with fake nails and tan, et al. Maybe one or two of these, but not all of them. And yes, I have no room to judge with my miniskirts, hip huggers and hot pants. Oh, and green nails, but at least they weren’t fake.

Something tells me Leonor wouldn't dare! I can imagine Letizia having quite the wrath if needed.

So what kind of school is this? This is why I’ve never liked sending kids off to boarding school or whatever it’s called. Just my opinion. Who’s watching them? Will there be consequences for posting fricking lingerie pics? Pedophiles dream land. I would be snatching my kid home so fast but honestly they should all be suspended and forced home.

Elisabeth of Belgium attended the same school and didn't behave like that, Til and Phil wouldn't have been amused either.. IMHO, the Dutch royal family looks like trailer park trash compared to the Belgian and Spanish.
