Love the chic netting on Kate's hat and the pearls. Charles looks so deeply sad. Thank you FC for the picture.

Charles looks so incredibly sad. If the Queen cries I will lose it.

I do think we will see the queen cry. I only remember her wiping away a tear with the decommissioning of the Britannia but no real "crying". She is strong and stoic by nature and profession but she might just let it go today.

Not to be shallow, but I’d love a better shot of Kate’s pearls - she’s not worn a multi strand like that before AFAIK.

It looks like her Roland Mouret Remembrance dress, the Bahrain pearl dress and the Japanese pearl choker.

I was wondering that too. I also wonder if the glare is of the pearl lustre or diamonds. I remember hearing that diamonds are a no no at a funeral but that may be a very old school take.

I'm pretty sure it's this pearl choker she's worn once before. It's a lovely necklace

Oh you are good and quick. Thank you. I don't remember this one. I'll look forward to a better shot of the outfit but the asymmetrical neckline is terrific.

So, The Express says:

"The mother-of-three looked elegant in the outfit which she paired with a statement pearl necklace and matching pearl drop earrings. Her choice of necklace is a sweet nod to the monarch and Philip's 73-year marriage. Kate wore the piece, which is borrowed from the Queen, to an official dinner in 2017 to celebrate the royal couple's 70th wedding anniversary."
