Today and in particular tonight the Dutch remember the dead (victims) of WWII and other war violence. In Dutch this is called Dodenherdenking (freely translated as remembrance of the dead). This is a national day of remembrance, annually on May 4. Besides that a whole nation keeps silent for 2 minutes as of 8 PM. Even trains, trams and busses stand stil in that time period. Some private people will stop their car, bike or other way of transport.. The royals and others involved lay wraths at the National Monument in Amsterdam. But due to Corona this is the 2nd time in row, attendance is minimal and a lot is done digital.

WA looks old and sorry to say a bit in some photos (but maybe it's because of the solemn appearance).

Unkept...I wanted to write. But after seeing the other photos from King's day I believe it was really just the sad event.

I love him and find he has a very sympathetic face, but I totally feel like tieing him up to a barber chair and chopping the hair and shaving the beard off!

It seems a really sad family condition, that the entire family is suffering from acute hair stylist phobia.
Fortunately Maxima is able to overcome it occassionally by completely blinding herself with bling bling and tiaras.
I do wonder if Wimlex was exposed to hair-spray vapours just too much as a youngster? But what could have caused Maxima's problem?

I think her hair is thin and very fine, which makes it difficult to style and very difficult to maintain the style.
