As mentioned by Celia: "Margrethe really has the best evening gowns."

Margrethe surely has great gowns. This triggered with me the idea of a topic about Margrethe's dresses/gowns.

Gee, just for me!  Thank you!  I especially love the green and light blue gown --but the ones with fur trim are really fabulous!

I think what is evident is that she rarely wears a fashion house. a lot of her dresses are most likely her own designs or her visions. They are incredibly theatrical and bear strong resemblances with costumes (elisabethan, russian and such..) alll with enormous skirts, even at a time when those weren't exactly the height of fashion.

Thanks for this thread, Principessa!  Champagne Star  I've always appreciated Daisy's flair for the dramatic in her clothing, and love the historical "feel" of many of her evening gowns. If I could play "dress up" with any royal's wardrobe, I'd choose her Yes

Indeed, there is something about her gowns. It is not always a hit in my own personal view, but she also had so many hits as wel.
