Hmm.. Is Lietchenstein's Royal family popular with it's people? It seems like a very wealthy country but so close to Germany and still with a royal family. This succession info is quite interesting.
Seems they didn´t had a problem that the family has more power now, but there was this discussion about abortion and the opinion among the people is a liberal one, while Alois would block any free choice for a woman. But maybe someone knows more. From what I heard of a friend who works in Liechtenstein they do fear them much more than they "love" them. Don't know if it's true but the Liechtensteins basically own their country and are not afraid to make it known to their subjects. Just recently hans Adam and Alois got their knickers in a twist again when some citizens questioned their right to veto laws. http://www.washingtonpost.../10/gIQAhZxR3Q_story.htmlIMO they are among the most hypocrite royals, trying to impose their will on other ppl, playing the moral authority while getting filthy rich with their LGT bank which is known for organizing the tax fraud attempts of their clients. Thanks I don´t like them since Hans-Adam offended Germany as "Fourth Reich". His precious father was also not the nicest fellow Liechtenstein remained neutral throughout World War II, and its neutrality was never violated by any of the combatants. However, two factors have linked the Liechtensteinian State to the Axis cause: In 2005, it was revealed that Franz Joseph II profited directly from the Holocaust. Labourers from the Strasshof concentration camp, provided by the SS, had worked on estates in Austria owned by the Liechtensteinian Princely House. http://www.royaltyinthene...ince-offends-german-jews/

You're welcome back in 24 I think it's very interesting too because the way it's worded, it says they have the consideration of grandees, not that they are grandees.

So they have the "prerogatives" of grandees, but not the titles then ? A bit like Lady Louise Windsor in UK whi is officially a HRH and a Princess, but does not use them?

It seems that way, yes. I wonder if JC is still alive and healthy in say, 10 years, and Froilán marries early, would he receive a noble title with a grandeeship? It doesn't seem likely because he hasn't given any title to his sister's children.

Thank you PDNETD I had no idea the Infantas children had "titles" like His/Her Excellency ! Neither did I, but Uncle Google always helps I think it something similar like His/her highness in Denmark or Norway (where HRH only use children of ruler and heir). And back to you

King Edward III of England was descended from Isabella of France. Because of the Salic Law of Succession, he was not able to succeed to the French throne. Why did he lay claim to the throne when his chances to succeed did not look promising?
