On October 12, 2018 Princess Eugenie married long time boyfriend Jack Brooksbank

Princess Eugenie wore two gowns on her wedding day, one for the formal ceremony in Windsor chapel and a second to her evening reception.

The wedding dress of Princess Eugenie was designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. The Queen’s granddaughter told how she chose a low back for her wedding dress because “scars tell a story about your past on your future” and showing them is a way of “getting rid of a taboo.”

“I had always wanted a low back, part of it was showing my scar. I believe scars tell a story about your past and your future and it’s a way of getting rid of a taboo,” says Eugenie about her ceremony dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.

“For me it’s a way of communicating with people who are going through either similar situations with scoliosis or having a scar of their own that they are trying to deal with.” She continues, “We started getting a lot of letters from people who were happy that I had stood up and showed my scar. People with scoliosis, letters from girls that are going through the same thing, and I definitely was very touched by everyone’s support.”

Princess Beatrice married her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in an intimate ceremony on 17 July 2020 in Windsor—but royal watchers had to wait a full day to get a peek at the Princess’s much-anticipated wedding gown.

In a break from past royal brides, rather than enlisting a couturier to craft a custom garment, Beatrice went vintage. She wore a gown by Norman Hartnell, on loan from the Queen, made from Peau De Soie taffeta and organza, trimmed with Duchess satin, and encrusted with diamanté.

Hartnell was a sought-after designer in the 20th century, and a go-to for the Windsors. He was behind both Queen Elizabeth’s wedding dress and coronation gown, in addition to Princess Margaret’s wedding look and other important royal garments.

For the wedding dress worn for her marriage to Timothy Laurence on 12 December 1992 at Crathie Kirk, Princess Anne wore a white jacket over a "demure, cropped-to-the-knee dress" and a spray of white flowers in her hair. Designer unknown....

Prince Andrew, Duke of York married  on 23 July 1986 Sarah Ferguson. Sarah Ferguson wore a dress made from ivory duchesse satin and featuring heavy beading.  Designed by Lindka Cierach, the beadwork incorporated various symbols including hearts representing romance, anchors and waves representing Prince Andrew's sailing background and bumblebees and thistles, which were taken from Sarah Ferguson's family heraldry.

Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands (future Queen Beatrix) married Claus von Amsberg on 10 March 1966.

The wedding gown was made by Caroline Bergé-Farwick of Maison Linette, a couturier to the Dutch royal family (and designer of Princess Margriet's gown), but the design ideas came from the bride. The outcome was a high neckline gown with three-quarter sleeves and a slim skirt underneath the train, which begins as a split skirt from the waist and extends back. The dress features a subtle pattern mimicking the swirled design of her tiara, made by creating a velvet effect on the satin. The pattern runs on the lower skirt as well as down the sides of the split top skirt and onto the train.

Princess Irene of the Netherlands and Prince Carlos Hugo of Bourbon Parma, Duke of Parma married in the Borghese Chapel at the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, Italy, on 29 April 1964. Due to the scandals surrounding this wedding none of the brides family was present.

The wedding dress for this wedding came from Balmain. The white silk creation with three-quarter length sleeves included a bolero-style top which accentuated the bride’s slender waistline.

Later lace of this wedding dress (which Irene had received from her mother Queen / Princess Juliana of the Netherlands) was used for the wedding dress of Irene & Carlos Hugo's youngest daughter (Maria) Carolina.

On 9 January 2012, it was announced Carolina would marry Albert Alphons Ludgerus Brenninkmeijer, (born 16 May 1974), a member of the wealthy Brenninkmeijer family. The civil marriage took place on 21 April 2012 at Wijk bij Duurstede. The church wedding took place at the San Miniato al Monte on 16 June 2012 in Florence, Italy.

The wedding dress of the church wedding was designed by Dutch designer Addy van den Krommenacker.
"Princess Carolina's wedding dress, made with the historical lace of the royal family, was the crowning glory of my work."

The wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Daniel Westling took place in Stockholm Cathedral on 19 June 2010, the 34th anniversary of her parents’ marriage and a traditional wedding date of the Swedish Royal Family.

Victoria’s custome made dress was by Swedish designer Pär Engsheden. It is made of cream-coloured duchess silk satin, with short sleeves and a turned-out collar, which follows the rounded neckline. The dress has a v-shaped back with covered buttons. The sash at the waist is buttoned up at the back.

On June 19, 1976 King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden married Silvia Sommerlath.

Silvia chose to go to France for her wedding dress, to Dior and Marc Bohan. The result is a silk duchesse gown almost stark in its simplicity, with a high neck, long sleeves, slim skirt and train extending from the shoulders. It is certainly a product of its mid-Seventies time. The simplicity has a purpose: Silvia was wearing both an intricate veil and a showpiece tiara. The veil, a Swedish wedding tradition, dates from Queen Sofia and had been worn by Carl Gustaf's late mother Princess Sibylla among other family members.

For her wedding to Prince Carl Philip of Sweden on June 13, 2015, then-Sofia Hellqvist chose the Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt.  The gown was made in Sjöstedt's Stockholm studio and was hand cut and hand stitched. She also wore a hand-embroidered tulle veil with a small sprig of myrtle (tradition of Swedish royal brides since 1935). Sofia wore a new tiara with diamonds and emeralds on her wedding day - a gift from her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Queen Silvia and King Carl XVI Gustaf.

Princess Sofia had a second wedding dress that she wore to her wedding reception at Stockholm Palace - dinner was in the White Sea Ballroom and dancing in Karl XI's Gallery. This white gown had a lace overlay with no train. It was one-shouldered (made of lace) on her right shoulder. It was also by Ida Sjöstedt.

For her wedding to Prince Abdullah of Jordan, set in Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan, in June 1993, Rania al-Yassin wore a custom dress designed by British designer, Bruce Oldfield. With an opulent white headpiece with matching veil, the dress featured intricate gold embroidered detailing and inspired many a bride for years to come.

Stephanie's sister in law Claire Lademacher also wore an Elie Saab wedding gown. The off white dress is a confection of floral Chantilly lace embroidery with accents of crystals, pearls, and silver thread. It features long sleeves, a high neckline with a dip in the back, and a three meter train. For his part, the groom sported a morning suit with a blue tie. Pinned on his lapel is the miniature of the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau.

On 21 September 2013 the church wedding of Claire and Prince Félix of Luxembourg took place (The civil wedding took place on 17 September 2013).
