Are any of these events the formal evening gala where Mary always seems to wear that long burgundy velvet dress and all of the pieces of the Ruby parure she can fit on her body?

Yes, that's the evening gala on 1 January. From the OOS page - This gala banquet is one of the most formal events of the Danish royal year; it's one of the only events involving the use of the gold collar of the Order of the Elephant instead of the light blue sash. The events on Jan 4 and 5 are the ones where she wears the long formal dress and honours, but no bling. Pics from the 2019 events; http://orderofsplendor.bl...-day-day-formal-with.html

ANDREW DENTON: Yes. What did... When you first met, what did you see in each other? CROWN PRINCE FREDERIK: What did we see in each other? We saw... Well, it's a bit hard. It's a bit blurry, in a way, because it was just after the Olympics had started and it was one of those evenings where...

I am looking forward to Margrethe's anniversary. She, and we, were cheated out of her 80th birthday celebrations last year, and even though there were some celebrations, like singing to her from home, the gala events were missing. I like seeing the dresses.

Watching the clip of the DRF at the grave, it looks like Mary wanted to stand where Margrethe was for her curtsey but she had to step back and stand in line with Frodo. They also pushed forward while Bene was still solemnly paying her respects.
Meanwhile, Jokke and Marie were the picture of grace and elegance. Fred and Mary looked like pushy children in comparison.

Danmarks Nationalbank marks Her Majesty the Queen's 50th Government Anniversary on 14 January 2022 with the issuance of a commemorative coin. On the front of the coin is a new portrait of the Queen designed by the sculptor Kathrine S. Moseholm. On the back, there is an organic pattern created by the number 50 as a symbol of the anniversary. The pattern creates a visual reference to Amalienborg's four mansions and the castle square. In Greenland and the Faroe Islands, Her Majesty the Queen's 50th Government Anniversary is marked with new stamps.

The body language in that clip Poor Marie and Joachim deserve much more support than they are being given. I don't think Benne looked very happy, either. It feels to me as if Marg has consolidated her power and she and the Derfs are smugly cold-shouldering M&J. I've never cared much for Marg but seeing how she's banished her younger son quite resolutely and with no qualms just solidifies my dislike.

The day began at Christiansborg Castle, where there was first a Council of State and subsequently the Folketing's formal celebration of the anniversary. After the meeting, the family appeared in public with a new medal. It is a gift on the occasion of the beautiful anniversary, the royal house writes on Instagram. Both, the royal family and the Court's employees, with a few others, have received the Memorial Medal, which is made of gilded silver and with a crown. When the royal family on Instagram writes that "a few others" have received the beautiful, new medal, it is i.a. one of Queen Margrethe's favorite hat-makers, Mathilde Førster, and one of Her Majesty's favorite tailors, Annette Freifeldt, who has become a medal richer. On the front, a full-length portrait of Queen Margrethe is seen, surrounded by Rosenborg Castle's three silver lions. Here is also the text: MARGRETHE II QUEEN OF DENMARK.

Wreath layingThe start of Daisy's 50 ascensions to the throne was marked with a wreath-laying ceremony at King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid's grave at Roskilde Cathedral. When the princesses were children, Queen Ingrid got the brilliant idea to assign each of the girl's colors and it is the one that goes again in their wreaths. The color was expressed, among other things, in the children's clothing, which was usually the same except for the three different colors. In a previous interview with BILLED-BLADET, Queen Anne-Marie has explained it as follows: - "My oldest sister was blue, Benedikte red or pink and I yellow or green. That, Mother thought, suited our nature, and it was absolutely right. Margrethe was definitely not too pink! The colors went again in our toothbrushes and toothpicks and everything possible, and as we got older we were also allowed to decorate our living rooms in the colors we had always had. When my oldest sister turned 14, she thought it might be time to go dressed a little differently than Benedict and I, so then she got some other clothes."Arrival per Royal Train

FolketingenThe official commemoration of Her Majesty the Queen's 50th Anniversary of Government took place this morning in the Landstingsalen at Christiansborg Castle. At present, together with His Majesty were both the Crown Prince couple, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte. Upon arrival, the royal family wrote in a guest book before taking a seat in the Landstingssalen with the other guests. The celebration was then started with a speech at the Folketingets Chairman Henrik Dam Kristensen, after which Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen congratulated the Queen on the anniversary and presented the Folketing and the government's gift to the Majesty. The gift is a work of art, which is supposed to symbolize the ties between the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Denmark. The work will be located at the Nordatlantens Brygge in Copenhagen, which has special importance for the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Denmark. This is, among other things, here, the Faroe Islands and Greenland representatives in Denmark have their position. The artwork will be created by artists Hansina Iversen from the Faroe Islands, Jessie Kleemann from Greenland, and Gudrun Hasle from Denmark and is expected to be completed by the beginning of 2023. Faroe Islands lawyer Bárður á Steig Nielsen gave a speech, where he officially handed over the Faroe Islands anniversary gift to the Queen. Greenland chairman of Naalakkersuisut Múte B. Egede was prevented from participating in the marking. :format(jpg)/f.elconfidencial.com%2Foriginal%2Fdcf%2Fe93%2F305%2Fdcfe93305053668f3d7fca7f7fc2a6ee.jpg) :format(jpg)/f.elconfidencial.com%2Foriginal%2Fba7%2F20c%2F3ed%2Fba720c3ed25551b14c5d1859c820e1c8.jpg)
