Press release: HM The Queen and HRH The Crown Princess receives HRH The Duchess of Cambridge

Her Majesty the Queen and Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess will receive on Wednesday 23 February 2022 at 11.45 Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge in Christian IX's Palace at Amalienborg.

After the reception, the Crown Princess will host a private lunch for the Duchess in Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. After this, the Crown Princess together with the Duchess will visit a shelter, where there will be a presentation of the Mary Foundation's efforts for the approximately 2,000 children who come to the shelter with their mother every year.

The Duchess of Cambridge is on a working visit to Denmark on the days 22-23. February with The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, which the Duchess launched in 2021.

It will be possible to cover the reception by a short photo opportunity in the Knights' Hall in Christian IX's Palace at Amalienborg. After the reception, the Crown Princess and the Duchess will walk to Frederik VIII's Palace, and in this connection, there will also be an opportunity to photograph the Crown Princess and the Duchess at Amalienborg Castle Square.

Application for accreditation for the reception in Christian IX's Palace and the subsequent photo opportunity at Amalienborg Castle Square is sent with an indication of name, media, title, and contact information to  kom@kongehuset.dk  no later than Friday 18 February at 12.00 Accredited press will be notified no later than Tuesday 22 February at 12. Daisy, Bene, and AM presented the Queen Ingrid's Honorary Scholarship for the tenth and final time, with a party performance in the Amalienborg Palace. The performance was funded by Royal Mediation Fund, VisitDenmark, and Wonderful Copenhagen.
