Vincent and Athena should be sitting where Izzy and Felix are sitting so they can be close to adults who can help guide them through dinner. QM is very lucky that in her old age and widowhood, she is surrounded by this much family. So it's puzzling that she has exiled half the people at this table. Maybe it's not puzzling because she was a negligent mother and perhaps never valued close family ties. She and Henrik always struck me as self-absorbed and I never saw her as a doting grandmother. She knows her family will be there for her no matter what. They are obligated to the royal family. Interesting to see Josie and Athena next to each other. I don't think I've ever seen them interacting together in a playful way. I don't think they are close - unlike the cousins of the NRF or the Dutch royals. I agree with every word. What struck me about seeing Athena and Josephine close together was that J looks half Athena's age. Athena is poised and Josie is childish and immature. |

It is a black tie event, not a white tie event, I am sure they took the picture and enjoyed a nice, formal-informal dinner. So the kids don't need to be 100% formal - after all they are kids.

I’m sure it was Josie and Athena we saw interacting at an event- Josie was getting Athena to behave badly. Marie had a word to Jokke and the intervened. Josie was a bad influence and I don’t think we’ve seen her in public next to Athena until now.

My only quibble (of course, I found something 😄) is that Athena should be seated where Vincent is, at least for purposes of the photo - her white dress would have stood out nicely against the sea of black on that side. |
