I had to think of Vic, she was so insecure back then. It's such a big difference, she was the youngest of the european heirs and the only woman. I'm so happy the younger generation has better opportunities.

Besides of all problems which comes with a monarchy, I think it would be sad if european countries would abolish the monarchy just when most of the heirs are women...

Eventually all the monarchies will turn into republics because it is highly undemocratic that the head of state is born into the position and has not archieved it. I don't think it has to do with male or female monarchs - it is the whole system that is outdated.

They try to update it the best they can - by making women equal (something that would be unheard of 100 years ago) - but this shows the flaws of the system.

I think they have to be self funded... maybe the state might help maintain some premises but no “allowance” and maybe a few “State occasions” a year .... get a real job like the deposed Euro ones do
