I am the Queen

There will be several upcoming queens that will need to marry guys who will be okay with their positions. It's kind of tough for them. Henrik in Denmark, Daniel in Sweden, Amalia in NL, IA in Norway. Did I miss anyone? Phillip in England. It can be done, but it's challenging. Victoria's Albert, too.
In the Netherlands there have already been 3 prince consorts: - Prince Hendrik of Mecklenburg-Schwerin; husband of Queen Wilhelmina - Prince Bernhard of Lippe Biesterfeld; husband of Queen Juliana - Claus von Amsberg; husband of Queen Beatrix Based on the stories it was not really easy for any of the 3. Partly through own actions and ambitions and partly through those of predecessors (with the exception of Hendrik). Looking back, it seems like Claus loved his wife most (and most sincerely) and wanted to support her as best he could (IMO). Unfortunately, in addition to the aforementioned factors, his health was also against him.

She’s a pretty girl. I don’t find either of her parents particularly attractive but you can see both of them in her and the combination is beautiful.

Paulina, Yes, walking behind a Queen can be tough for a husband.

The court released a video: https://www.instagram.com/p/CY6o-jGO6A-/Join Princess Ingrid Alexandra and the rest of the Crown Prince family on a sunny dream day in the mountains.
The Princess turns 18 on Friday, and skiing is one of her great passions.

Wow, she's got some pretty good moves on the ski slope. And I like that she hiked in to the place from which she started downhill skiing instead of riding a ski lift. But I had to laugh at the teeny tiny folding stool for Haakon and watching him tentatively lower himself down to sit on it.

NRK has a poll of 1000 young people between 16 and 20 75 % support the monarchy, 9 % against and 15 % dont know. 81% think Ingrid Alexandra will be queen one day, 6% think the monarchy will be abolished before she becomes queen, 12 % dont know. Asked if they would want to be king and queen themselves 28% says yes, 63 % says no. Not so radical afterall those norwegian youths. I would not expect so good numbers in that age group really… https://www.nrk.no/norge/...p-om-monarkiet-1.15807716

Interesting. Well, I always thought the Norwegians really do like their monarchy and this would bear out, even with young people. It helps that the royals don't have a lot of extra royals running around creating scandals. Also, Norwegians are not corrupt or corruptible. IMO. (very biased toward everything good Norwegian. Rosy glasses and all. ) The worst they have is the embarrassing ML and her boyfriend, but that does not seem to taint the monarchy and I have never had the impression she is against her family. Just on her own path.

She's so grown!!! She looks very aware of her role, in a very good way.
I love the idea of her having an official office.

For all of the (fair) criticism of Haakon choice of a future consort and MM's work ethic, they seem to have done a great job as parents. She always seems very calm, steady, and mature.

I feel a bit bad for her for this looong tour today, lots of people walking behind her, lots of people photographing everything she does, having to put the mask on and off, press running back and forth, she she seems a bit self concious which IMO is not strange at all. It also seems she is really a person that is much more at home in sneekers than heels, but then whos not at 18... I think the skiing video is probably the most true look at her personality we will get theese days, where she is really charming and makes fun og Haakon buying the tiny tiny chairs on instagram commercial, and they turned out to be only 1/8 of the size he thought they would be. Haakon then asks if it was to good choice to choose the tiny chairs over the sausages... The outfit reeks of Mette-Marit and I belive the jacket (which is to big) and the purse are her mothers.

Pretty girl, nice smiles, very well dressed and presented - Haakon and Mette-Marit did a good job and she seems like a quiet, respectful young lady who be a great Queen. Happy 18th birthday, Princess Ingrid!

She seems to be a delightful person comfortable enough in her own skin to go through the rigamarole of a long busy "career day". She's patient and well-adjusted enough to be smiling and engaged with everyone. This bodes well. Is she pigeon toed? Some ballet would beat that out of her. It's the only thing that puts a crook into her otherwise elegant physical presence.
