Ok, but they are not the sole members of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Gl?cksburg. As there is also a line, related to the Danish one, which became Duke of Schleswig-Holstein and head of the House of Oldenburg. And of course the Greek and Norwegian royal houses originate from the Danish Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Gl?cksburg line.

Currently:
Christoph, Prince of Schleswig-Holstein (born 22 August 1949) has been the head of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Gl?cksburg and the entire House of Oldenburg since 1980. As a member of highest German nobility, he is the current titular Duke of Schleswig-Holstein and Duke of Gl?cksburg, traditionally styled as His Highness

Christoph's  great-grandfather  Friedrich Ferdinand, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Gl?cksburg was a nephew of Christian IX of Denmark.

Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany was married to his second cousin princess Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg. As Augusta's maternal grandmother Feodora of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (n?e Leiningen) was the uterine half-sister of Queen Victoria, who was Wilhelm's maternal grandmother.


Augusta Victoria was the eldest daughter of Friedrich VIII, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein (Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg) and Princess Adelheid of Hohenlohe-Langenburg. Her younger sister Karoline Mathilde married Friedrich Ferdinand of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Gl?cksburg (who became Duke of Schleswig-Holstein).

The fourth son of Wilhelm and AV prince August Wilhelm of Prussia married his cousin princess Alexandra Viktoria von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg. She was a daughter of Friedrich Ferdinand, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein and his wife Princess Karoline Mathilde of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg (so she is an older sister of the above discussed Karoline Mathilde). Their marriage apparently failed, according to rumours because of August Wilhem's homosexual tendencies. It has been said they  never undertook a formal divorce due to the opposition of August Wilhelm's father, Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Dear Maria, sorry for the confusion. This thread as already mentioned by PeDe was first.
Apparently the new thread was in particular mend for the Danish line of the Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg family/house. While in this thread the whole family/House is discussed.
