I hope so. Not the biggest fan of her husband but the rumours about her being a male and all the transphobic comments on social media are absoutuely disgusting.
 
And IMHO this is just a new version of 'Michelle Obama is a a man' BS from some years ago. Not to mention the presidential elections are next April and the political campaigns have begun.

That is good. But however, I will never warm up to her, I am afraid. My son is the same (vulnerable) age Macron had when he met her. I'll never get it in my head how a mature mother and teacher could take of with a fifteen year old. They are not consenting adults which is fine, but he was so young when it started.

Here in US, we had a similar issue with a teacher named Mary Kay LeTourneau. She had one child with him before being incarcerated. Then she was paroled and caught in a steamed up car with him by the police. She was pg again when they sent her back. Then they got married.

Yes and they ultimately divorced... I can understand the so called “fatal attraction” but the life experience of both was poles apart... if he was an adult who was attracted to an older woman ok .... but a teenager has no idea.... yes have a girlfriend but wait until you are sure.... that didn’t happen

She has three biological children with her late first husband André-Louis Auzière: two daughters Laurence ( 1977) and Tiphaine (1984)  and one son Sébastien( 1975). And she is a grandmother of seven.

Macron is the same age as her first daughter. It does not feel right - had they met in adulthood as two consenting adults, yes, but he was a underage student when it started.

I wonder where the attraction was for her - she had children the same age, was married for many years, had responsibility for her own family, her job (not sure how this worked out in France, here in Germany you would loose your job and not get it back anywhere else). As I said: If he had been 20 or something, it would have been different.

Oh, I don't know, Germany is rather lenient in that respect. A teacher at the Fairies' school fathered a child with one of his underage students and since they are now happily cough married, nothing happened.
