Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden arrived early this morning in our capital for a two-day postponed visit. And when we say packed, we mean really packed.

The princess made her appearance at the Amsterdam city hall around half past nine for a meeting with Swedish and Dutch businessmen. That must have been accompanied by the necessary espressos, because last night she was still full in traditional costume next to her family for the Swedish National Day.

There is not much air in her program these two days, in which she also visits The Hague and Rotterdam in addition to Amsterdam. Of course, she immediately boarded a boat on the Amstel to take in sustainable Amsterdam (including Schoonschip with its houseboats), but she also went to the Olympic Quarter.

There she was met by Prince Constantijn, chief problem officer of the company TechLeap, which helps start-ups in the tech world. The focus on fundraising for female entrepreneurs is particularly intriguing to Victoria.

The afternoon doesn't get much quieter than the morning, and tonight Victoria will join us for a real gala dinner at Hotel Okura. Now that may sound like an opportunity where Willem-Alexander or Máxima will also join, but this is not a state visit. So Victoria is single-handedly celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
