Oh dear...
Groningen, being far away from the rest of The Netherlands (very, very relatively speaking), is the uni town where students hardly ever go home-home for the weekends.
So it's a fun place to be 7 days a week.
It is a very popular (and logical, distance wise) choice amongr the Pomster's set.  I'm looking forward to their stories about "the middle sister's" antics, if and when....

As for her becoming a member of a student club (similar culture as fraternities/sororities, but no such thing as chapters, just one big (1000+) co-ed/mixed club with tons of tradition and various subdivisions and chapters and yearclubs, she is probably wise to avoid Vindicat and join Albertus.

Tidbit: I went to highschool in Groningen and RAN as soon as I graduated. Went to uni far away from there, great choice. Also hilarious and lovely to go to school reünions  (as a class of '86).

In the region where I come from, Groningen was a popular choice since many years. Not because of the city and all, but because it was relatively close. Somehow a common choice to study in Groningen. One of my uncles met his wife, originally from the province of Groningen, in this way.

At first I thought it was Photoshop or such.....but they appear to be real....

Weird and non flattering pictures of Alexia (2nd daughter WA and Max) playing with her chewing gum when supporting at/ watching a match.

I think that is something we can forgive her for, maybe she was excited and nobody can always be on the watch of being photographed.

Agree, but when knowing you likely are going to be photographed stay away from stuff like gum or such.
Even as for a 19 years old. And yes, we know that her parents are also regulars in the funny faces (on pictures or video) topic.

BTW some (media) people try to create another little buzz by wondering why Alexia was drinking cola at a match on 9  in the morning.

I do and I definitely don’t have a problem with people who do, if they don’t do it in a gross way.

Which we cannot see from a photo if Alexia did or didn’t do.

Gum chewing girls and cud chewing cows
Are strangely alike, tho’ different somehow.
And the difference is, as I think of it now,
The look of intelligence on the face of the cow.

(My mother, circa, well you guess.)

I don’t mind my students chewing gum as long as I don’t see the stuff or the inside of their mouths.

It never works for anyone applying older norms like these on young people. You just end up offending both parties..

Really, it doesn’t take a great leap! They were au naturale in the morning (both looked lovely) and had a face of makeup later on……me thinks a night out in Paree was on the cards

Either that or maybe shes not a coffee drinker  Grin

Maxima appears to be giving Alexia stink-eye (maybe)

Certainly the press seemed very determined to find things wrong with Alexia.
