Queen Elizabeth has reportedly adopted a new dog! She's a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel named Lissy. How adorable!

Aww, I just adopted a 2 year old terrier mix myself so this news warms my heart.   Named (by me) Sophie!

I revere the Queen. I wish her a wonderful jubilee, and the next one after that, should the planet be that lucky. I am so very sorry that the waning years shall be that of The Virus, and The Dumpster Fires, and The Court Case. On the other hand, I would like to think it gives her hope for the future that the next occupants of her throne know what their place in history will be and will clearly  rise to it.

Nice to see her out and about and glad to see her looking so good.  She’s amazing at 95 and I hope she gets to fully enjoy her Jubilee celebrations to her best extent.  70 years is amazingly long time, the majority of her adult life. 👑

I like the fact she always has her lippy on.  Trivial pint in the grand scheme of things, but hey ho.

Right? That's one thing I miss with this whole pandemic. I used to always wear a lip stain but now it's pointless because it just gets on my mask and no one sees it anyway! I've gotten used to doing makeup on just my eyes lol

I think Elizabeth the Steadfast is a good moniker for her.

Quote
The woman who became Queen Elizabeth II will mark 70 years on the throne Sunday, an unprecedented reign that has made her a symbol of stability as the United Kingdom navigated an age of uncertainty.

From her early days as a glamorous young royal in glittering tiaras to her more recent incarnation as the nation’s grandmother, the queen has witnessed the end of the British Empire, the advent of multiculturalism, the rise of international terrorism, and the challenges posed by Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic. In a world of relentless change, she has been a constant — representing the U.K.’s interests abroad, applauding the nation’s successes and commiserating in its failures, and always remaining above the fray of politics.

That constancy should earn Elizabeth a royal epithet like those of her predecessors such as William the Conqueror, Edward the Confessor and Alfred the Great, said royal historian Hugo Vickers.

“I’ve always thought she should be called Elizabeth the Steadfast,” Vickers told The Associated Press. “I think it’s a perfect way of describing her. She wasn’t necessarily expecting to be queen, and she embraced that duty.”

This year The Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, marking Keycap digit sevenKeycap digit zero years as Monarch.

To begin the celebrations, Her Majesty viewed a selection of cards, letters and artwork sent to her by children and other members of the public to mark this, and previous, Jubilees.

She looks like she has lost quite a bit of weight but she looks quite fresh so hopefully all is well enough.
