The first lady looked very well dressed.
Nobody told Leti there would be a red carpet and she should dress appropriately ?  Wink

How disrespectful, what's up with how she's dressed? She looks about as warm and approachable as a porcupine. Haughty nose in the air, too.  Thumb down

I know she's there on duty and it's not a holiday or even a state visit but it does seem strange and to be honest a little disrespectful not to dress up a bit for the initial arrival and meet & greet!

She thought she was there to work, but she is the Queen first, otherwise it would not be a red carpet welcome. Silly woman. I think most of her advisors seem to be her 'enemies' (starting with Felipe Varela) and want her to be criticized and laughed at  Wink.
I don't think she looked haughty though, just dressed inappropriately.

Looks like the entire Spanish delegation is dressed the same way.
The Spanish look like they're ready to provide relief work. The welcoming group are dressed for an official greeting.
Seems like the organizers on both sides got their signals crossed.

Except for the minister, the others were probably real AID workers, not a royal tag along to promote the cause or give visibility.  The red carpet is obviously for the Queen of Spain. Leti seems to spend some time preparing for this trip, but either she didn't know r just didn't care about other countries' culture. In some Asian or African countries, hosts often wear their best clothes to receive an important guest, it's dispectful for a guest not to dress properly.  She already did it in Puraguyay last time, in fact Puraguyan press was surprised to see her dress like an Aid worker..

It is a COOPERATION trip, neither official nor State, its objective is to learn about and make known the work of Spanish cooperation.

The people who appear in the video with the vest are members of the King's House (the Queen's secretary, head of the media, head of security...) and members of the government and the embassy.

Well if some were from the royal house, of course they were following their master's example, how dare they not ? Or these clueless advisors could be the ones who suggested her wearing like an Aid worker t walking on the red carpet .  When she goes to the field tomorrow, she can dress as am Aid worker, not an issue but if the host rolls out the red carpet, the minimum she can do is to dress elegantly (need not be expensive) and appropriately.
