It’s only a 2 hour flight from London to Madrid. Not a big deal. Watch a coronation, fly a couple hours, change, meal, maybe a wink, watch football match. Wonder if he flew private?

Not such a big deal IMO. He could have went straight from the Abbey to the airport (as there was no reception afterwards) and flown home. Just a bit stressful to comprehend that you were now in a different country ...

I was under the impression the King always used military planes. The coronation presumably was an official event so I suspect he flew on a air force plane, giving lots of flexibility.
