It’s a bit alarming, IMO. The palace is trying to stress the side effects were minor but that’s got to be a stretch. Considering his resources, if he had to actually go to the hospital - knowing they’d have to disclose - it must have been pretty bad. Hopefully not.

This is what concerns me as well as I believe that most symptoms ie dehydration, nausea etc..probably could have been handled at Clarence House. If King Charles went to the hospital, then his medical team knew he might require more sophisticated care or perhaps an admission for an overnight stay.

Seems troubling.  His very pale face and bright pink hands are alarming.  I looked up cancer+bright pink hands and one of the things that came up was liver cancer.  His continuing work schedule is a good sign, surely if it was bad he'd cut down the work load.  Working during treatments is admirable, all I wanted to do was sleep.
You know what else has a symptom of swollen red hands? Porphyria, like George III which is genetic . https://www.mayoclinic.or...ptoms-causes/syc-20356066

Yikes  ohmygosh DOV that sounds unbearable.  Thanks for sharing.

Or perhaps they want to run some tests that couldn't be handled at CH.  Sure they can handle very simple stuff in house but I doubt the have a lab or diagnostic equipment beyond what a GPs office would have.  They probably wanted to check his levels to see if he needed any medication or adjustment to his current medication.  As he was in and out within a few hours, with only a day of rest ordered, I don't think we should be overly alarmed.

It doesn’t feel good but he has had those red sausage hands for a long time so those aren’t a sign of a new development IMO.

After his sudden hospital visit yesterday, King Charles has just left Clarence House . He was seen in the back of the first car, with the window slightly down so people could see who it was. He’s heading out of London for the weekend.

That’s why I was thinking something genetic. You can see here in his engagement to Diana photo that they were red and swollen then https://www.businessinsid...the-crown-reality-2020-11. Andrew’s hands are not as severe, but seem rather puffy as well https://www.edinburghlive...ince-andrew-wont-30298589. Edward and William seem to have dodged the bullet. https://news.sky.com/stor...heartfelt-speech-13090069 https://www.biography.com/royalty/prince-william.

After a ‘restful’ weekend at Highgrove, the King will be at Windsor Castle today to resume a normal working week, including investitures.

There have been a couple of minor changes to His Majesty's diary for 'balance', ahead of the State Visit to Italy next week.

I'm looking forward to their visit to Italy and I hope nothing interferes with that 🤞🤞

Did you see him play at a carrot flute? I know he’s never been known to be especially charismatic but I think he’s got a certain charm about him and certainly a lot of humour too.
